Consumer Reviews
"Have 140k miles on it. Replaced intake manufold twice [first one was after market version-my mistake]. Ford covered their mistake for 6 years. My first one failed at 7 years. About $900 to replace it. Also both front window regulators failed. Ford had a few basic problems on some of these crown vics."

"As I got older and got away from Mustangs these Crown Victorias have reall been great to me. Have had several, usually buy them with about 100,000 miles and drive to about 170,000. almost never have to do any repairs, just keep tires and oil changes. Cost me about $600 a year to stay in one of these. Great resell values also."

"This auto has a few poorly engineered parts, window regulators 2 times about $250, and intake manifold about $800. In 10 year and 115,000 miles it has never broke down. The engine is still strong and transmission. The cooling system is a weak point also."

"I've owned this car for two years and ~50,000 miles, and have had no problems with it (it currently has 139,000 miles). This car is super durable, I live on a farm and replaced my F-150 with it after gas prices went through the roof. It's roomy enough for four adults to drive cross country, comfortable enough to commute 50 miles/day in, and all of this for a very reasonable price. With a little hunting around parts are super cheap (repair parts - deer/minor tornado damage - did I mention this car is super durable?) The base car has a basic interior for it's class, and the wheel covers like to fall off after 100K, that's about all the negatives I could think of."

"Have 110000 miles on it. One $80 repair to date not including consummable such as tires and brakes. Excellent gas mileage for a large car with a V8; 26 to 27 mpg on a trip. A lot of car for the money and extreamly reliable. A better deal then the Japanese offerings. Purchased car used when 2 yrs old with 27,000 miles on it."
