"I was a long time Toyota buyer, but when my Camry was totaled in a 5 car crash...and the airbags did not deploy..and this is a problem that Toyota was aware of..that made up my mind. I looked at a lot of cars. Our rental car from the wreck was a Ford Escape and we liked it but wanted more pizazz. We found it in the Ford Edge. This is my first Ford. What a great car. It is a comfortable ride, looks good, has great control on the rode and I am glad I bought it. It is unconscionable that Toyota has done nothing about their airbag problem. I love my Ford and am glad I bought it!"

"I traded in my F150 for a 2011 Edge SEL because I didn't need a truck anymore, and I wanted something my wife could drive. It has been a big change for me, but I haven't regretted it after several months of ownership. The Edge drives like a luxury sedan compared to a truck. The 3.5L has alot of power and acceleration. I have been getting alot of compliments from my friends and coworkers that are unfamiliar with the Edge. Alot of the negative reviews you see online are about problems with MyFord Touch. I saw the reviews and bought an Edge without MFT on purpose to avoid any potential problems. I wish the Edge sat up a little bit higher, but that would probably lower my MPG. I've been getting an average of 24 mpg in the city. This is a great SUV! If I had to purchase again, I would either buy this or the new Explorer if it was a little bit cheaper."

"Myfordtouch is unpredictable and unsafe. Touch screen comes off and on without warning. Car looses radio, navigation and phone bluetooth connectivity intermittently. Each time (six times now) new car sent to dealership for fix - car comes back with worse touchscreen performance than before. Ford refuses to honor buy back assurance based on lemon law."

2011 Ford Ege SEL 3.5L

"The 2011-2012 Ford Edge looks awesome inside and out. I am constantly getting compliments about how luxurious the interior is for what I paid (right at $22k for a one year old car). One person owns a Lexus SUV, and she thinks mine is as nice as hers. The Edge rides like a car, and it is wide so it can hug curves where other SUV's might have some body roll. My favorite things are the front end with the LED's and grill, all of the simple controls on the steering wheel, and the back seats are super roomy and recline pretty far. It is a good family car, so get one! Also, you will notice most of the negative reviews from owners and editors are due to MyFord Touch not working properly (its the reason I gave lower marks for interior and reliability). I recommend getting an SEL model without MyFord Touch, and you'll love it. I do."
