"In the past, we all knew what F.O.R.D. stood for. I was hesitant about getting a Ford this time around, but we were very disappointed in the Mazda CR7 my hubby bought in impulse the year before. We checked the 2012 model as I'd seen them on the street and really liked the striking body style. There was just something about it that called my name, so we decided to look into it seriously - we took our time to decide if this was THE car for us since we knew it may be the last one we bought. We test drove the higher end Edge with Sync technology and really liked the way the car handled. It's roomy enough inside so we don't feel hemmed in, the design touches of the leather seats and the console were so much better than the Mazda and I started falling in love with the car. We decided on an SEL with EcoBoost in red, but without the MyTouchSync, which was an extra $1500, but we already had a Garmin and my smartphone can also provide navigation with spoken commands. We got all the accouterments we wanted (bluetooth, moonroof, leather interior) and were given an extra few goodies at no additional cost (cargo mat, door protectors and paint protection) by the dealer, who by the way was terrific. When we drove our new red Edge home, we were very happy we made the decision to buy it. We named her Ruby and she's been living in comfort in our shared garage since January, 2012."

"I've owned my Edge for about 10 months and here are my pros and cons: PROS Performance - I don't know why some people need a Turbo. It performs very well without it. Handling - It handles bumps and curves very well for this type of vehicle. CONS NO Bluetooth (it does have a PHONE button that just mutes the audio) Cruise Control - awkward controls (GM is much better) No Compass - Audio System - I must have the cheaper radio. Poor sound quality. Manual Headlights - Interior - Too much plastic Mostly my fault for not shopping the competition. Just average value for the price paid."

"I have never enjoyed a car like I do my Edge. I have had and driven many makes and models and the Ford Edge has got done them all. The features and elegance of my Edge Limited has been a wonderful experience. I took it on my 1st road trip and it was such a wonderful trip. I had more compliments and second looks on the road and in parking lots that I felt like a million bucks. So yes again I LOVE IT - I LOVE IT"

"I didn't give reliability 5 stars because I have only had the car for a month but this is one of the nicest vehicles I have ever owned. It is completely load with sync, chrome wheels, backup camera, USB ports and more. It drives great, feels solid and is definitely a step up from my Ford Escape. It cost more but well worth the money especially since I got 3k off in incentives and a great rate. I love this car and I feel safe driving it."

"I've had my Edge for a little over a month. I bought it primarily for travel for work and personal use. It replaces my 2000 Oldsmobile. I'm still trying to figure out all of the features and functions of the My Sync but so far it hasn't let me down. I especially love the handsfree GPS functions. As a sales person that drives from Sacramento to Fresno and Santa Cruz to San Francisco, it's nice to know where I'm going and how to get there, especially when I miss a turn in San Francisco! It's big enough to hold everthing I need yet small enough to fit in most parking spots without being too close to other cars. I thoroughly enjoy driving it!"

"Haven't owned a Ford for over 30 years, either GM or Foreign cars. I guess we now know why Ford didn't need bail out money, as they made a good product and knew how to restructure and negotiate contracts.....nice job Ford, it's made a difference. This Ford Edge is an outstanding automobile, creature comforts and mileage is amazing for a large car/truck (and you said it couldn't be done). I am hopeful that all the tech goodies last, this thing has so many, the operation booklet could probably be the size of a novel. Bought the Edge used with about 19000 miles on it, so just barely broke in and I am really impressed with the fit and finish and operation of everything......TWO THUMBS UP"

"The 2012 Ford Edge SEL is an excellent vehicle. We found it ourselves on Cars.com after no dealer could find what we wanted. The comfort of the ride is fabulous. The Eco-boost engine is powerful. Overall it's a GREAT vehicle!"
