"Very nice to have as a first car. The car handles like any other car except when in windy and unstable road conditions such as wet pavement. The car wants to fishtail but the FWD takes over if you accelerate a little. The exterior is very unappealing and so is the interior. The radio is hard to reach when driving. The car is pretty healthy after doing a thorough inspection but it's a little loud at idle, especially in drive. Very slow and lack of giddyupiness! No need for much maintenence the car rides fine and sounds fine. The only scary downside is you can't tell how many miles the car has because the roller only goes to 99,999 miles then relaps. But an overall great first car, unless you want high performance. The car gets me 60 miles a day easy. I was suprised at the gas tank release switch and trunk release switch under the seat, very convenient. The speedo only goes to 85mph, but who needs to go faster right? Oh, and maybe its just me but its hard to tell how close you are in back when parking, I got the LX 2 door hatchback version. Maybe the others differ in some aspects."

"This is my 1st car (Escort LX wagon) and I am very disappointed. The 88hp 1.9L 4 is not enough for a wagon!! What were they thinking! But it is very roomy. Can carry me and my two friends.. and our stuff."
