This price range reflects the Kelley Blue Book Suggested Retail value for all trim levels, but not necessarily all available options.
The Kelley Blue Book Suggested Retail value represents the amount an auto dealer might ask for a specific vehicle; the actual sale price will vary. A vehicle's popularity, condition, warranty, color and local market conditions are factors involved in determining a final price. The retail value is not a trade-in or private party value.
The Suggested Retail value assumes that the vehicle has been fully reconditioned and has a clean title history. The Suggested Retail value also allows for advertising, sales commissions, insurance and other costs of doing business as a dealer. Most vehicles offered at this price have passed an inspection, and some may carry a warranty. Vehicle mileage is assumed to be normal or below normal.
"This car has been great for me traveling to work and back. I've only had one problem with it and that was the air conditioning. Other then that, its a great, reliable car"
"I just sold my 1999 Escort ZX2 but only because I didn't need a car living in the city anymore. I bought it new and put 78K miles on it. It was easy to upgrade with tuner type parts. Fun to drive got great gas mileage. For what you pay for it it's a steal. I would recommend a used one over a more expensive Honda Civic or the like. The Ford has more hp too. I loved that car. Served me well. Never a mechanical problem either."
"I purchased my new Ford Escort ZX2 in May of 1999, and am still driving it today. It has been a very reliable car. My only gripe is that my alternator had to be replaced after 3 years, as did my tie rods. Beyond that the only other service needed has been routine (brake pads, tires, oil changes, etc). Overall a good car with good gas gas mileage."
