"I purchased a 2007 Sport Trac about 7 months ago and have already put close to 15,000 miles on the vehicle. Prior, I had an Avalanche. The Sport Trac is definately NOT an Avalanche, but then again, the Sport Trac is priced much lower, which is why I went in this direction. Overall I am happy with the Sport Trac, but not jumping up and down over it. My biggest disappointment is the fuel consumption. I read many reviews of similar vehicles prior to my purchase and until recently have not seen any major negatives on consumption for the Sport Trac. I thought that I would be getting a much more fuel efficient vehicle than the much bigger Avalanche, but that is not the case. As I mentioned, I have put a ton of miles on my Sport Trac and despite the sticker saying 15/21, you can expect an average of 15 to 16 MPG driving at normal speeds, which is less than what I was getting before. Ford really needs to do something to make this vehicle more fuel efficient in the future. Aside from that, the vehicle looks good and the interior is comfortable enough. It is responsive and drives pretty smooth. The door handles are no big deal. The locking hard cover on the bed is a must. My purchase price was approx $30K and one of the deciding factors to go with this vehicle was the 0% financing that was being offered."

"I've only put 5200 miles on this vehicle, but WOW I really love it. I have the Limited, V6, with navigation and sirius radio, leather 2 tone camel heated seats with lumbar. I can honestly say that this vehicle has been great!! Comfort is great on trips. Features easy to read and get to. No wind or rattle noise. If you were to put this vehicle up against any other make in the same category, this vehicle would rate way way above the rest!! Definately a great buy, would recommend to anybody."

"I actually do like my 2007 Sport Trac XLT for its drive, power and general comfort, as well as its towing capacity and looks. But there are limitations. It's probably the case with a lot of pickups, but there are significant blind spots to the rear, especially with the back-seat headrests up and the tonneau cover installed. You need to look really closely for traffic to your rear when on the highway. Lesson learned there. Mileage is pretty much what everyone else says here. Around 20 highway (no more than 20), and around 14-15 in town. While the ride is good in front seats, my passengers in the rear seats say it's not that good. If you don't already have a cargo bar or net for the pickup bed, get one. Your groceries will slide all over, and it's not easy to retrieve the milk and soda at the other end of the bed. I have the V-8, and it has good power and spunk on the highway. When I hit the gas, the vehicle responds well. All in all, I like it quite a bit, but I'm learning to live with things I didn't think about before."

"Just bought it about 10 days ago, so far love it! Only things I would change are the door levers and the seats are a little extra firm. Other than that it's perfect!"

"So far I haven't had any problems with mine, but I wish the gas mileage was a tad better on the 6 cyl. The door handles are poorly designed, especially on a windy day when you need 2 hands to hang on without banging the guy parked next door. I wish the volume knob on the radio was lighted, and had steering wheel controls for it on the XLT. Overall ride is great for a truck, and plenty of back seat. The storage bins in the bed are a nice touch, but the cargo accessories are way overpriced from the dealer."

"Drives great and is a comfortable ride even on a 1000 mile trip! Only downside is the gas mileage which is about 21 on a long trip but about 14 around town."

"A vibrator at highway speeds. Nice interior. Go with the Nissan or Toyota. This truck is way overpriced for what you are getting. Expect 13 mpg in town, and 16 on the highway with the V-8"

"A nice looking utility truck. A great improvement over previous years. Handles well and has a smooth ride. A nice touch is the new six speed tranny. Has more towing capacity than Honda rigeline and costs thousands less. I would rate this as a best buy."

"Great Vehicle All Around. The fully loaded limited is the best deal, with the new V8, leather, message center, and more. I just cant believe how redesigned the 2007 is. I also found it the best value in its class."

"I traded a 2004 v-6 Mustang for a 2007 Sport Trac and man am I happy with this upgrade. I purchased the XLT 4x2 with not a lot of available options. I added the step rails and that was it. The ride quality is extremely impressive from previous years. This vehicle seems like a luxury vehicle more than an SUV/truck. I am extremely impressed with this vehicle and will have it for MANY years to come. Taking a year off from production of this truck really paid off. Kudos to your FORD for getting this one right!"
