"I bought a 1991 Explorer that was fully loaded. The A/C didn't work, the power locks and power window gears all 4 quit working, the power mirrors didn't work, the power back hatch latch didn't work, the cruise control didn't work so basically - nothing worked except the engine and transmission. After 204K the engine finally gave up the ghost. Gas milage was about 16 mpg highway for a 6v 2 wd manual. That really stinks for a plain jane engine."
"I bought the 2wd 4dr version in 1990 and
drove it for the next 18yrs(175,000 miles) with few issues
other then a blown head gasket and transmission failure. Other than that no
complaints. It served the family well and I
found it hard to part with."
