"i purchase an explorer as I have an older Explorer with 192,000miles. I tow boats and utility trailer and the Explorer has been an excellent choice. The newer version has more power and comfort. Ford changed to a non-frame unibody type SUV and I determined that that style of vehicle is not as suitable for towing."

"This vehicle is perfect for our needs. The Explorer is roomy inside, yet not too big outside. We bought an Eddie Bauer and it is fully loaded with leather memory heated seats, audio and climate controls on the steering wheel, automatic climate control with triple zones, adjustable pedals, sunroof, heated mirrors, and homelink. It has the parking assist too, which is absolutely wonderful. There is a beeping sound in the rear of the vehicle when objects are near. The 18 inch chrome wheels are a great touch and set the explorer apart from others. Our commute is less than a mile, and I cannot imagine commuting in this vehicle. Gas mileage is similar to other trucks. The ride feels smooth and secure. We feel this was a great purchase when we consider the features this Explorer has and the price paid compared to other Midsized SUVs."

"We traded a 2007 Ford Edge in on a 2007 Ford Explorer because the mileage was high on our Edge. We expected more room and luxury. In reality, the Edge had more room inside with places to sit things that was missing from the Explorer. Another thing is that the Explorer has a six cylinder engine and seems to be under-powered. We still like the Explorer for a change. We had owned them before. We are also disappointed in the workmanship in the Explorer. The mirrors in the sun visors fell apart and had to be replaced. Fortunately the dealer was willing to replace them at no charge to us. The Explorer is a red, Eddie Bauer and looks great from the outside."

"I traded in a 2000 GMC Yukon Denali for my 2007 Ford Explorer. While the Denali was a great vehicle, the difference was like night and day. I would purchase a Ford Explorer over a Yukon Denali any day."

"This is the 2nd Explorer I've had. I drove a 2009 XLT that was purchased new as a company car and I was impressed with the way it drove. I left the company and had to give the car back, which was a bummer. I just recently purchased a gently used 2007 Eddie Bauer with about 42k miles. The SUV is impressive - it looks and drive brand new. I have had people comment that they actually thought it was a new vehicle. I drive alot for work and my new EB has performed above my expectations. Oh, and should I mention all the comfort toys this SUV comes equipted with!"

"We just purchased our 07 Eddie Bauer Edition and love it! It handles like a dream with the RSC, is extremely comfortable, has all of the amenities you could ask for, and has the 4.6L V8 engine that was rated one of the top ten engines for 07. We are averaging 18.5 miles per gallon on mixed back country roads and highway driving. The third row seating is actually usable for adults and when the seats are folded down, you have all kinds of room to store and carry items with you. We've had many people ask us about the vehicle and told us how sharp it looks. The automatic climate control is quiet and quickly effective, the stereo system has great range, and the six speed automatic shifts flawlessly. With the V8 power, we are looking forward to pulling our camper to our favorite camping spots. We've owned a 2001 F250Lariat since we bought it new and have had great success with it. We have put 94,000 miles on it and are looking to keep it going for many more years. We're looking forward to the same with our "new" used Explorer."

"Purchased the vehicle in 11/09. Had less than 30k miles when purchased. Test drove vehicle and it looked and drove fine. Did have left rear strut replaced in 1/10, but was cvrd by factory warranty. Vehicle is Eddie Bauer edition, so is loaded w/features. Ride is smooth and I like the styling. Previous vehicle was a Toyota 4-Runner. Glad to be able to purchase a good quality american car that provides great value."

"This is my seconded Explorer, I have a 1998 Explorer xlt loaded with a v-8 great vehicle, has over 200 thousand mile. Bought another Explorer Eddie Bauer 4x4 v-8, wonderful vehicle has everything has more room and a lot of play toys. Keeping both just because my 98' is still in great shape, runs great and has never had any problems."
