Consumer Reviews
"Purchased new, have had it for three weeks and am loving this Ford truck. Got the 5.0 V-8 and it has all the power I need. Put it in 4x4 over the past weekend and it did everything I asked of it. Came with the "automatic manual" transmission and in 4x4 low range and "manual", it forded a creek, climbed a couple of medium hills and handled extremely well with a comfortable ride. I use a truck as a truck, and the Ford F150 delivers. Still breaking in, averaging 16 mpg combined with 1,200 miles on the odometer in mixed driving. I am seeing the mpg slowly increase as miles are added. If your on the fence on choices, fall on the FORD F150 side!"

"I did much research on the Ford F-150 with the Ecoboost engine. First of all let me start by saying I really like my truck. It is a 2012 FX4, it is nice looking and very comfortable. The thing that eluded me when shopping for this truck was any real fuel economy data. The truck is a 4x4 with a 3:73 axle ratio. Ford claims that the truck should get 15 City and 21 Highway. Therefore, I was hoping to average around 17mpg. I have not done any truly highway driving yet. In mixed driving, however, I am getting 15 mpg. So if you are like me, who bought a truck like this hoping to save some money on fuel, I believe that the rated fuel economy is just a fallacy. The Ecoboost option adds $1,500 to the cost of the truck and I am unsure at this time if that money is well spent or not."

"I am very happy with this truck. I have a 2012 F-150 Super Crew XLT with a 5.5' bed. The interior is comfortable for a person my size 6' 7". I am even comfortable sitting in the back behind where I need the driver's seat. The best features for me right now are the Microsoft Sync, the heated mirrors, power rear window and of course my Ecoboost engine. The engine is REALLY powerful. I was skeptical at first of a V6 in a full size pick up but the Ecoboost with the twin turbos is a monster and has power to spare."

"F150 XLT SuperCrewCab ECOBOOST - A Man's Truck with all the bells and whistles plus plenty of legroom front and back along with super quick acceleration and top of the line towing power! Makes the Gmc/Chevy look puny and avg over 20 mpg on highway while the gas hog Dodge will get u 14. Foreign makes not even in the same league plus they're always back at dealers for latest quality shortcut recall."

"It's the best truck for the money. Great on highway. I would defiantly buy this again. The heated and cooled leather seats are great. It gets about 18 mpg on highway and has plenty of power"

"Runs like a scaled dog and still gets great gas mileage. I can't believe the performance of the Ecoboost engine."

"the ride comfort and egronomics of the F150 i believe are second to none, the power running boards of the Platinum edition are very nice as they come out far enough you do not have to use just your heel on exit and you are firmly planted on them The torque from the Ecoboost is like that of a diesel and combined with the 6 speed auto and the 3.31 axle ratio is is whisper quiet at 80 mph and will still give about 19.8 mpg over a 1700 mile run. Great truck all around"

"Purchased new 2012 Ford F-150 off the lot a month ago. It's a 4x4 SuperCab model with the 5.0 liter engine. Am pleased with most aspects of this rig so far, but with only 700 miles on the odometer it's a bit early to render a meaningful judgement. Mileage thus far is about 17.5 mpg, with mix of 50%city/50%highway. Interior seems the best put-together of all the full sized pickups I test-drove. Seats are very comfortable. Shifting is smooth and road and engine noise is minimal. I like the large (36 gallon) fuel tank--an option not even available on competing brands of full-sized pickups. Only downside is the way it handles in rear wheel drive mode on icy roads--not nearly as stable as Suburbans (which I've driven almost exclusively over the past 20 years)."
