"These V8's blow water past the heads because of a design flaw. High mileage engines are more prone to the problem, so I thought I would review this particular vehicle due to mileage about 15000 over competitive trucks for sale in the resale market"

"The truck looks good. Have less than 36000miles on it and ford cant fix it. i filed lemon law taking a very long time."

"I tow a 5 ton dump trailer, sometimes with a Bobcat in it and other times loaded down with dirt or gravel. I forget that it is behind me. The trailer brake system is outstanding. This is a powerful work vehicle that I would recommend to anyone."

"Doesn't handle as well as my F150 and I have to climb up into it, but the power and visibility in heavy traffic more than make up for it. Fuel economy is poor as well but no surprises there."

"I have a 2006 F-250 w/ a 6.0 Powerstroke and all i can tell u is that chevy and dodge cant touch it in racing, pulling, looks, mileage and anything else you can think of."

"Year: 2006 Make: Ford Model: F250 FX4 Crew Cab Mileage: 1,015 Do most people need a truck like this? No. Do you want a truck like this? Debatable. Needless to say I could hear this F250 before it ever crested the hill of my driveway. The sound reminded me of this kid who could hear his International school bus coming up the road toward his house. The sound was distinctive especially with the DT466 under hood. So, needless to say I was instantly turned off by this three-quarter ton pickup; wasn't a fan of the school bus either. After managing to climb into the spacious cab it was familiar yet fresh at the same time. I wondered why Ford hadn't taken a more modern approach to the interior like the very luxurious F150. Yet, nothing about this rig says old or dated. I think that was Ford's motivation. To create a cab that would be comfortable yet tough enough to be used as a real work truck; to create a cab that was distinctively Ford but not over the top. My opinion: mission accomplished. This approach also strengthens brand loyalty. It brings new or repeat customers to dealer showrooms while allowing late model owners to continue to be proud of their rigs; familiar and fresh. This rig was powered by a six liter V8 turbo diesel producing a solid 325 horsepower and 560 foot pounds of rotational force. Being the crew cab model the interior was very spacious. My only complaint with Ford trucks is the support of the seats. Very flat without any sense of horizontal or lateral support, long trips could be a bare. The dash is very well laid out, and features an industry first integrated electric brake module for towing. Speaking of towing, this rig does an effortless job. I commissioned this one to pull a 93' Mustang race car on the twenty-five hundred pound flat bed trailer. There were many times when I forgot the load was behind me at all. Not good for led right foot but perfect for towing up steep grades. Braking was also impressive for a rig of this size. Especially when towing and the electric brake module is activated. All in all if you are considering buying a heavy duty pickup for recreation or work consider the heavies from Ford. Properly equipped can and will handle most tasks. Oh, don't I wish Ford had snatched up Allison Transmissions before GM. Oh well; the unit used by GM doesn�t seem to mind being twisted by the all mighty Duramax!"

"My truck broke down with in the first 7000 Miles. Getting it fix was very hard because the dealership had 40 diesel Truck in for service and most of them looked to be new."

"I replaced my 1995 F 150 XLT with a 2006 F 250 Lariat at the end of January. Just turned 10,000 miles on the OD on July 4. This truck handles the slide in camper and 16 foot fishing boat with more stability than the old one, but there is a price in fuel economy. The F 250 weighs about 7,000 lbs. With the camper and boat the total on the road is about 11,000 lbs. I am getting 11 mpg on the road fully loaded and about 14 mph highway empty. This compares with 12 mpg loaded with the same camper and boat and 17 mpg empty with the F 150. The F 250 has the 5.4 L V8 with automatic and 3.73/1 rear end. The 95 F-150 had the 5.0 L V8 and I am not sure what rear axle ratio. I also had added Motorsport headers, a high-flow cat and 3" exhaust to the F-150. The ride is much firmer than the '95 - especially empty. Now I am looking for ways to improve the fuel economy on the F 250."

"Traded in an 04 for this 05 I've had the PU for 1 year it was a demo with 7k miles on it and had been in an minor accident and its still a pleasure to drive and admire. Has a very safe and comforable feel and the diesel is the way to go as well as 4wd. If you get this puppy off the road just a little with a little incline you might just be stuck w/o 4wd. Fuel is expensive but when its 99 degrees outside with a little safety excercised I leave that beauty running and get back into a very comfortable climate with very little wear and tear on the engine and I won't mention chips let just say close to 500 hp and fuel milage, 16mpg combined, is incrediable for this size truck not to mention immediate power when needed. Does not ride like a suburban its a Ford not a chevy and I like a strong feel. The 04 I traded ,2wdr diesel, ride and turn ratio is night and day improved. Love this truck"
