Consumer Reviews
"Purchased a 2009 VW TDI (Certified used) from VW and traded it in 6 weeks later for the Ford Fusion Hybrid. We hated the VW the Turbo lag felt like playing chicken with oncoming traffic every time you made a left in an intersection, the smell of the (p)leather interior is strange, and just a dark depressing interior and just a lacking of bells and whistles. I was getting 39.5 MPG on diesel. I would say the 2009-10 VW is better than the cheapened 2011 models. We drove the Ford Fusion Hybrid and immediately knew our short time with the VW was over, sylish bright interior, real leather smell, lights, back up camera, and power seats, the electric motor keeps the wheels turning when off the gas and is quick to respond, already getting 42 MPG on regular gas, it did cost me an extra $7,000 which will take years to make up at the pump, but took 5 minutes to make up making my wife happy and giving her piece of mind..Thanks"

"This Ford product is safer, better looking, and far more comfortable for a 6 foot 4 inch driver or passenger. than both of the foreign competition. The Ford engineers did an excellent job. And the local Ford dealership is excellent."

"I recently downsized from a full size SUV (12-18 MPG) to a 2020 Fusion Hybrid. I love this car! First of all it has ever bell, whistle and safety feature imaginable. The BLIS and rear warning systems are excellent and the SYNC beats any blue tooth, voice activated system I've had in a vehicle. The best part, however, is the gas mileage. Listed at 36-41, I routinely get mid 40-50, since I've learned to drive differently with the hybrid. I can easily stay on the EV up to 45 mph and on the highway using cruise control, I average around 48-50 mpg."

"I've had my Fusion Hybrid for about 15 months now and have put about 26,000 miles on it. The worst thing I can say about this car is that the stock wiper blades wore out too fast. Most of my driving is commuting, and I average about 42mpg driving a bit above the speed limit. It has very little wind noise at speed; most of the noise comes from the hard high-mileage tires. The car handles great--no surprises at the limits of adhesion--and the traction control doesn't feel like it's just switched the car off. Acceleration is 0-60 in the mid 8's, way better than the 11-12 you'll get in a Prius or Insight. Not head-snapping, but freeway on-ramps don't rely on the power of prayer. There's non of the mushy, clunky braking you get with other hybrids. You don't feel the transitions between conventional and regenerative braking. The electronics are top-notch, especially the real-time traffic and weather maps. I traded in an 8-year-old Audi A6 for this, and while there are a couple things about the Audi that I miss, there's nothing worth an extra $25K that a new Audi would cost. In short, this is a very good midrange sedan that just happens to be a hybrid. (Oh BTW, you could offer a grille that's more Ford Fusion and less Gillette Fusion. :)"

"I own a 2010 and 1/2 model and I am thrilled to drive it. The performance is great. I must admit it has taken me a while to get the hang of driving a hybrid, but once you get it, the mileage is great. I feel the handling is very good and the ride is sweet. I do agree with the back seat comments - stiff and the seats don't fold down. But it handles sweet on the higway. This vehicle has enough guts to it where I don't feel unsafe on the highway. Good visibilty and great gadgets. The center readout console is easy to use, easy to see and read. The SYNC features work really well. I reallylike the side mirror blind spot feature - it has saved me at least once so far. I have actually run this vehicle at 45MPH on battery for a few miles, so they didn't stretch that one either. All in all, I think Ford really has a winner here!"
