"I just sold my 2000 Olds Intrigue with 243,000 miles on it. Car still ran good, but had a few minor things going wrong. Decided to go with this 2010 fusion SEL with 48,000 miles on it. This car looks nice and rides nice. The automatic transmission, however, clunks into gear when shifting through 3rd gear. The car also gets terrible gas mileage for a 3.0L 6 cylinder. I've averaged 24 mpg on flat interstate driving. My 3.5L 6 cylinder Intrigue got 28-30 mpg consistently, even being over 10 years old. I've also experienced an apparent throttle body problem; as I've been driving down the interstate and have the car go into a stall. The car goes into what's called "limp mode" where it only runs on 3 cylinders (just enough to get you in an accident). The car has done this four times in the last month. I ordered a new throttle body and will be putting it on soon. My advice would be to steer clear of the Ford Fusion until this problem is fixed and the gas mileage improves."

"We purchased a used 2010 Ford Fusion for my daughter with around 68,000 miles a few months ago. We have already spent $800 in two repairs. My daughter is extremely upset as this was the first car she has owned in her name and it is obviously a poor choice and a lemon. I spoke to a friend yesterday whose daughter also owns one, a young mother and she has had NOTHING BUT PROBLEMS with her Fusion as well. I was interested in getting a Ford Taurus in the near future, but now I don't trust the brand at all, even though I have loved my 2000 Ford Expedition. It is too bad, I thought Ford had upped their game and were building quality cars again...guess not."

"Great milage and price for the year/model I purchased from a USED dealer. The miles driven on the car were low for being 3 years old"

"This is my second Ford Fusion and the upgrades and improvements for 2010 make the 2010-2012 a great car. Very solid ride, good handling and performance. The seats vary from one year to the next and from cloth to leather, so you have to take the time to sit in the actual SEATS you are going to buy, spend some time driving the car, to know the seats will be comfortable to you. The V6 is much more responsive, but the 4 cylinder is good and gets slightly better gas mileage."

"I purchased my 2010 Ford Fusion a little over 3 years ago. It was fine until I took it into the dealership for an oil change and tire rotation at 26500 miles. I expected to get the car back and be on my way, but was taken back to the work area and was told that my brake pads and rotors were worn so bad that they had to be replaced. There was a deep rut in the rotor that had not been caught at the tire rotation of 21000 miles. I was given a lame excuse for the problem and I refused to have it fixed and the dirty brake oil changed and the dirty throttle body cleaned. I called FMC and was told that my claim had been rejected. Obviously, this was either a problem that started when the car was under full waranty or the dealership did not let me know that there was a problem at 21000 miles. Either way, I will never buy a Ford again and I have owned quite a few. I have always bought American and supported what I thought was the American worker, but it just shows that the company does not care for your loyalty. I will not take my car back to the dealership either. My money will be spent elsewhere in the future."

"I bought a 2010 Ford Fusion SE (4 cl, 6-speed automatic) used with ~54,000 miles on it. The EPA estimated highway mileage is 36 but I'm getting 40. Part of that is due to the low rolling resistance tires that the previous owner put on the car, but I've also read reviews that the newer Fusions tend to beat the EPA estimate slightly anyway. Unlike other 4 cylinders I've driven, I don't feel like the Fusion lacks "pep" when merging onto the highway or the like. The styling and handling are great. The seats are very comfortable even very very long rides (12+ hours). The back seat and trunk are pretty spacious and full size adults can ride in the back seat comfortably. The car is quiet even at high speed on the highway. In general, I love this car and would definitely recommend it."

"Picked up a used 2010 SEL with the 2.5 and 6 speed auto, right at 36000 miles. Leather, moon & tune, and SYNC. Getting right at 29 mpg in mixed driving, 50/50 between 70 mph on the highway to 45 or so on Indiana's backroads. Car is amazingly quiet inside, very comfortable seats for average build guy (5'9" & 170 #). Hauls me, my wife, & our two boys comfortably, even with booster seats. Lots of storage space inside and in the trunk. Love it all around, don't see any reason it won't give me at least 100k miles of faithful service!"
