"If you need "cheap" speed, there are few better choices than the Mustang. Yes, it's got a telephone pole out back for a rear end but, it's better at turning than GM's old F-bodies and for me at least, it's far more comfortable than a Nissan 350z. I did consider the 350z but, I'm a big guy (6'2" and well north of 200lbs) and foundd the Nissan too small once the door was closed. The Mustang is nothing like my Raptor in terms of interior room but, the sound track from the V8 with flowmasters outback makes all other audio entertainment a non-factor. This chassis was designed for a 300hp V8 but, it really could use more power. Torque is there but, mostly at the mid to high end of the RPM range and it could use a sixth gear on the highway. Of course, these are all things that Ford addressed in the 2011 Mustang which is the same chassis with new body work and a much better and more efficient V8. While I look forward to an independent rear suspension in 2014, I hope they don't screw up everything they've gotten right in this car since 2005."

"With less than 15K miles on the car the driver side lower ball joint has already failed. It failed inspection and made a "thumping" noise from the front end. My 3 year warranty has expired but, the 36K mile warranty has not. Ball joints just do not fail with so few miles. Ford would not help me with the cost of replacement. I never had a problem like this with any other Ford vehicle."

"I love this car. After driving 6 GMs and a couple of Chrysler Products, my first Ford will be with me until it dies and I hope that's not for a really long time. This car hugs the road, is peppy and smooth shifting. I love driving with the top down."

"I have owned 5 Mustangs. A 1966, 1967, 1968, 1996 and my current 2007. I have not had many good experiences with the 1996, but decided the 2007 was a whole new car and was worth a try. I sold my Lexus for the 2007 Mustang Convertible (with the Pony Package). It is a nice car. All in all it is worth what I paid ($15,500). Things that will always bother me about FORD is their consistency with poor workmanship. The car is 4 years old and has already began to rust! This is a garage kept car. And it is rusting under the hood as well as under the door. Unacceptable! The bolts that secure the window regulators came loose. I brought it into FORD and they said, the bolts just came loose; not too sure why. Again, FORD will always be FORD. The new body style really is what makes this car fun to drive. Putting aside the fact that it is a FORD, this is my favorite Mustang I have owned...and I owned a lot! Just keep in mind, if you are going to over pay for a car, it should never be a FORD!"

"The only problem I have is the rear end has noise comming from it and I have taken it to several shops and the have replaced every bearing and I still yet have the noise. Other than that its been an excellant car, gas is about 22 MPG not to bad for hot performance car"

"The mustang is not the best performing car, it's not the fastest, or the craziest design.... But an icon doesn't have to be. The mustang is what the owner wants it to be... a daily driver, a weekend racer, or a show car, and it will do each of those well. This new platform is the best yet. The handling is respectful for a solid axle, power is the best it's ever been, and styling is again, iconic. Inside, the technology of the SYNC system makes the experience of driving even more convenient. I own a 08' GT California Special, bought new 3/08, and I still have people approach me with questions and comments. I'm sure the style of these cars will never grow old. Is a Mustang. It's something ya gotta experience."

"Purchased the V6 convertible model, with 71,000 miles on it. It is a smooth running vehicle with a crisp exhaust tone when you get on the gas. It rides very firm to me but opinions vary I believe depending on what you are used to driving. It has a very good cornering suspension which sacrifices ride comfort, you will feel the bumps on the road."
