"We bought our 2011 Taurus Limited AWD in May 2011. We love it. It's quiet and confortable. I'm 6'4" with a high BMI. Love the 6 speed transmission for pickup and response. Seems to like 89 octane better than 87. Audio system is great. Trunk size is wonderful especially with the fold down back seat. I travel mostly rural roads in PA and the handling is very reassuring. No leaning and it handles the bumps well in spite of the 19" tires. Tire noise can come through with road seams on the highway. My favorite features are the adaptive cruise control, backup camera and Ford Sync. My relationship with Ford Sync got off to a rough start but we've developed an understanding. Help from the dealer and software upgrades did the trick. Like any new technology, there are always issues with the user interface and user scenarios, but it delivers real value and entertainment. I use bluetooth for hands free phoning and audio streaming with my iphone. The blind spot warning and collision avoidance systems contribute to an overall feeling of safety and security when driving the car. People compliment the care and are surprised that it's a Taurus. I like to think of it as the Audi A6 for everyman (the 99%ers)."

"This car is four thousand pounds of comfort, overall 26 mpg, and roominess. It is a lot of car for the money and it's just the basic model. I can't imagine how more luxurious and more appealing the "Limited" could possibly be..."

"I got my 2011 Taurus on Jul 16 . I am very impressed with Ford and they way they put this car together. It's big, and very, very comfortable. It stops on a dime. This is my 4th Taurus but this one is light years ahead of all the others. I drove to Ohio from Maryland on a 1/2 tank of regular gas. The things I like the most are, backup camara, heated and cooled seats and the Sinc System. People have been coming up to me and asking what kind of car is this. They can't beleive it's a Ford."

Not your Mom's Taurus

"I think Ford should put ?it?s not your Mom?s Taurus? in advertising for the new Taurus. Ugly, boring, plain are all words that I would have used to describe the 1996 Taurus that my Mother used to drive. Sophisticated, handsome, sporty, large and nice words I would use to describe the current version. I recently purchased a new Taurus Limited. I have had it for 5 weeks and have put 1700 miles on it. I can think of fifty good things to say about the car, but not one bad thing. I love it and there is absolutely nothing about the car that I dislike. The exterior is beautifully designed. The interior is well thought out. It?s comfortable. It?s fun to drive. The version that I have is pretty well equipped. It has Sync, which I am still getting a kick out of ? it amuses me to be able to get the weather forecast, my horoscope, the news or use my phone with the push of a button. The Taurus has large comfortable seats and my car has the contour motion seat option (which I thought I would never use, but I now use daily) ? I get a massage on my way to and from work and I love it. I could go on and on about the well thought out radio and heat controls, the easy on the eyes cool blue dash lighting the huge truck and the solid closing doors, but it would really be better for you go to see it all for yourself. The car has plenty of power (and seemed to have no problem leaving the lady in the Toyota behind me when she tried to drag race with me at the lights yesterday). The car has primarily been used for commuting to work and I am currently getting about 23.5 mpg, which I don?t think is bad for the size of the car. I was told to expect 27-28 hwy by someone else who has a new Taurus. I want to mention to anyone reading this that I didn?t just go out and buy a Taurus because I was a fan to start with. I test drove a Honda Accord, Toyota Camry, Toyota Avalon, Nissan Maxima and a Chevy Malibu and had never considered a Taurus. I actually fell in love with the new Taurus on a trip out of town to look at a new Honda Accord."

"I love this car, it handles perfectly! It us so comfortable, everyday I learn something new about it. Today, I realized that even the back of the seats were heated! It felt awesome on my sore back. I love the back up cameras, the only way it could get better is if they had them on the front too."

"Well, this was my graduation present.(Taurus SEL, V6, White Suede) The moment I saw this car I knew I had to have it!!! The outside is phenomenal, the inside is even better you get a better sense of security as the center console is a bit higher than a normal one. I have a v6 and I feel that's is more than enough power for just going to work and what not. The sync feature is invaluable, that alone was a feature I had to have. The trunk is enormous. The touch pad keyless entry is a nice standard feature. Although it is my dream car and I would love to believe that nothing is wrong with it but, the handling on the road is awful I feel every bump there is! The rear visibility was a problem at first but I did get used to it. Being it is a big car there are many blind spots especially on the drivers side, due to the door having a bigger than normal support beam. I don't exactly care too much for the paddle shifters. The back seat is a bit small but it is manageable. Considering I drive a bit on the fast side, it gets good mpg (20mpg)."

"I got the 2010 Taurus SEL. This was my second Taurus (first being 87 Taurus), besides two Ford minivans over the past 15 years. Never owned Ford stocks, but love their cars. Though Ford cars are not the most refined, but they are reliable, gas efficient, and well build overall. The latest 2010 Taurus model is silky smooth, sufficiently powerful (not a tire burner for sure), and the SYNC feature was done just right for me. I do like the paddle shifter, but don't know how reliable it is. The interior leather for the one I bought (the only one available at the time) is black, which is kind of silly considering the California sun, and the leather could be a little more supple. The windshield cracked from a tiny flying rock on the road...shouldn't be that fragile. Other than that, I have no other issues...we have an S500, but both of my teenagers always want to drive the Taurus. That speaks for itself. Wish I bought the SHO though."
