"If you need a car for getting you just about anywhere for practically nothing, an older Geo Metro is the best. The older 3 cyl. are awesome cars. It's too bad they can't make cars like this anymore. My little Geo is almost 20 years old and it still going strong and I've put this car through he!! too. I've taken this car on the back roads of Idaho and done creek crossings where a 4x4 was stuck and it just keeps on going. I take my mountain bike and get into some pretty crazy places and I always get home with it and drive it to work on Monday (mud and all). Just came home from a 300+ mile trip to the River of No Return Wilderness area and got over 56mpg with just 3cyl. That included 2 people, 2 dogs and bikes. GM needs to take a look at what they used to do 20 years ago and then repeat, because when they stopped making the 3cyl is where they made their mistake. I leave the hybrids in the dust or at the curb. What it lacks in power is more than made up for in reliability, economy and just plain fun. I will NEVER get rid of my Geo"
