"I LOVED my Geo Prizm. I got 250,000 miles on it before I sold it. It got 33 mpg. It didn't need new front rods until 175,000 mi., and the transmission lasted until 240,000 mi. It was also a great deal because it didn't have a lot of bells and whistles to drive up the initial price; and, being generic-looking and non-sporty, the insurance companies also liked it, so I didn't have to hold two jobs just to pay insurance. I also had an 80's Chevy Nova hatchback (another Toyota Corolla in disguise) that was fabulous. I wish they would bring back a Geo/Chevy Prizm hatchback. That would be the BEST: safe, excellent mileage, lots of room, and nobody wants to steal it! I hope the car manufacturers are listening....."
