"I am so happy with my choice. I love the automatic trunk, the space, the seats. The ony thing is that I wish it had more room in the middle console to store stuff but that's not a big thing at all. I also love the amount of cup holders."

"We bought this car used in 2010. I loved the looks. Some bad things about the car is that it has no 3rd seat leg room and 3rd seat is hard. Also had many problems and had to get them fixed."

"I thought, that I should go and purchase my first American ever, I am 52 years old and have always owned imports. I own a small business and I thought time to see if the US car makers can match the imports and help our country back to prosperity. the GMC Acadia caught my eye, the size and styling I really liked. The car overall is teriffic. The handling and comfort for an American car is better than what I expected. The only issue is check engine light and smoothness of the engine. It has come one twice. And once the vehicle would not go faster than 35 MPH. The warning light in the gauge said reduced engine speed check engine. Well the dealer cleared the codes and found no cause for the complete engine failure. The engine had 9 failures but all checked out ok. The No Problem Found has me worried, that if my wife and daughter are driving the car and this happens again it could be a serious issue. The car has been running fine, but in the back of my mind what casued the failures and will happen again. The delaer said it might in about 6 months, these things happen. Well never happened on any import I ever owned, I was never stranded. so the jury is out on my first American Car. I thi. ng this car is great, GM just needs to tight up the reliablity"

"This vehicle is perfect in every way. I've deemed the Acadia the rugged luxury vehicle, perfect for entertaining executives, families, friends and also perfect for the mountains. The only thing is sometimes the pick up lags for just a second before it kicks in. I love, love, love this vehicle. If I had the money, I would buy one for every person in my family! "The GMC Acadia, Buick Enclave, and Chevy Traverse are all based on the same body style but I think the GMC Acadia was the best for us - the standard features on the GMC was long and full of useful things like (what should be mandatory) backup camera and ultrasonic object avoidance sensors... make it easy to backup out of my driveway, parking stalls, and park into my garage backwards safe and easy. The SLT2 trim level on our used included leather heated and cooled seats (a luxury I wouldn't have opted for to save money) that I have come to love. They activate with remote start, intelligently heating or cooling depending on the external temp and internal temp. The HID lights were another option and pierce the night and fog like no headlights I have ever had - they are amazing. The safety features like standard tire pressure monitoring, ABS, traction control, and stability control make it the safest vehicle I have owned. And knowing that if all else fails - all three rows have side impact airbags with additional airbags in the front driver and passenger seats make it even better. I'll be continuing my onstar subscription for $20 a month just for crash response, emergency services, and road side assistance - because my insurance company is giving me an incentive for being able to prove the amount of milage I put on the vehicle annually. Being able to easily reconfigure the two back rows in less than a minute to offer full cargo space is amazing. The second row folds quickly and easily with a tug on the folding strap and the third row folds with a flip of the levers behind the split bench - even folding the head rests down to store them attached but out of the way. No more head rests sliding around or sitting in the garage. A couple of things to watch for or just keep in mind. The engine makes a little more noise - outside. A noticeable ticking sound is obvious when outside the vehicle but undetectable inside. I did some research and found this was due to the direct fuel injection system - a second fuel pump and special injectors pump fuel directly into the cylinder at 1750 PSI! For an extra 15HP and couple of MPG - I'm okay with the ticking sound. One of the things I wasn't pleased with is that the spare is stored outside, under the rear deck. I've had problems removing other spares stored this way - but this one works well. I would recommend spending an hour or so getting used to it. You may not have the option of road side assistance when you absolutely need it. And learning how to change the spare on the side of a dark highway in the rain is not a good idea. Another item I'm not pleased with (has been documented) is the transmission shift logic needs some work. It appears that the 2-3 and 1-2 shift is a bit sloppy and hunts for gears a little too much at high speeds. A technical service bulletin has been published - I just wish my dealer had followed the recommendations before selling me the vehicle. A quick call to my local GMC dealership and I got a friendly, knowledgable person who looked it up and confirmed the problem - I've got an appointment to bring it in for a quick reprogram. The variable rate steering has already made its usefulness apparent. In parking lots or turning at intersections - the wheel is very easy to move and quickly allows you to change directions without working hard at all - however when I crested a hill on an interstate at 70MPH and found the two lanes littered with highway alligators (semi-truck tire treads that pealed off a failing tire) and had to maneuver quickly to the emergency lane - I had a very tight and responsive wheel that provided excellent feedback from the road as I transitioned from smooth blacktop to rough shoulder and I could easily feel the edge of the tire starting to make it into the gravel. I was able to safely transition back to the highway without much fuss. I was very confident and pleased with the handling. The steering reminded me of my Mustang GT - but without the extra workout while in town. The Acadia didn't feel top heavy either - even though it was loaded with two adults, a teen, two children, a full tank of gas, and a trunk full of cargo. I can easily see this vehicle being in our garage for five to seven years. I feel buying this one used with 30k on the odometer saved us about $20k off of retail and let us get a lot of nice options that we wouldn't have considered."

"Bought this in 09 Has been a very good vehicle.The only complaint is the garbage Goodyear Eagle Rs tires.Replaced at 35k but from 25k on in the rain or snow they were an accident waiting to happen.Cost 1200.00 to put Michelin on but the ride is 100 %Quieter and the vehicle is a joy to drive in adverse weather."

"We own a 2007 Acadia and it is the best car we have had so far. Handles superb in slick, snowy conditions. I really like the low gear option with manual shift. I would only trade if I could get another late model Acadia with a navigation system."

"My wife and I are expecting twins, so we started shopping for a vehicle that could fit all of us, plus a large stroller, etc. After looking at the Honda Pilot and Toyota Highlander, there is no doubt in my mind that the Acadia is the best option. It has more space than these vehicles and I love how it handles and looks. People who are looking for a crossover have to take a look at this vehicle."

"With lovely arrow dynamics and a built-in GPS this SUV was made to transport families everywhere. It carries up to seven passengers including the driver. Driving this seven seated vehicle is like riding in heaven. The storage is kind of small but when you fold down or take out the seats it will big and wide. There is a 100% chance that the price will be great for you in this SUV because there will never be a better 5 star SUV at this price!!!!!"
