"I owned a 2008 crew cab before this current one and put 50000 miles on it and had no problems. I only traded because I wanted the Bluetooth and the rear-view camera. If you use a trailer at all, you need the camera, it is the best thing yet! Don't even think about the $450. the camera costs, it is WELL worth it. I also get 1-2 mpg better with the 6-speed auto transmission then I got with my 4-speed '08. I love the 1/2 ton ride and drives like a dream. I get around 18mpg on the highway witch isn't great but I feel much better driving a truck than a car. I bought the truck in May of 2011 and now have 9900 miles on it."

"I have driven Fords, Dodges and GMs as I have worked for all three at different dealerships and of the three I have found that GM was the best truck for milage, comfort, cargo, and build. The Dodgo always looked cheap inside, the Ford although looked great inside, it wasn't as reliable as the GM both interior and reliablity. They all started out great but after a few months of delivering parts in each the only one that was still running like new was the GM. This was what lead me to buy my GMC Sierra."

"Reliable, solid working, comfortable, with plenty of style too. I drove a Toyota before this truck and after having the Toyota for about a year I couldn't wait to sell it and buy a GMC again. I've owned several GMC pickups and they can't be beat: perfect balance of power, MPG, comfort, value, and safety."

"I've driven all of the new trucks and for extended time...no trucks come close to the GMC Sierra in overall truck comparison. The truck tows well, hauls well, drives well during both on and off-road jaunts, it's fantastic in the snow, and it is flat out comfortable for those long trips. When it comes to trucks; at present, GMC is simply the best made truck in America...hands down!"

"First GMC truck I have ever owned. I really like the ride and feel of the Sierra and with the SLT trim its a very nice looking truck. I did consider the Ford's but with the GMC rebates I decided to give them a chance. Thus far I have not been dissapointed. The truck has been awesome and has accomplished everything I need from it with ease. The mileage is slightly better than my buddy's 2011 Ford but the GMC does lose a little in payload and towing to the F-150. On the flipside for the rebates offered and price difference between the two trucks I am honestly extremely satisfied with my purchase. Taking nothing away from the Fords as I know they are consistently a top seller I just had to consider cost at the time of purchase and ultimately it was the GMC rebates that swayed my decision, as a comparable Ford with the same features would have been much more due to the rebates I received from the GMC. I dont think you could go wrong with either I have no loyalty to either brand, Im actually a Jeep guy but a Jeep is just not practical for me at the moment. I say buy what makes you happy and you can offer manageable payments for the buyer! Good luck guys!"

"The interior storage is poor at best. The engine hesitates and the transmission does not know what gear to stay in. The dealer says it was disigned this way. I would not get another V8 with the 6 speed automatic. There is no cover on the console so when you fold it up everything falls out. The seats do not fold forward very far making it difficult to get stuff from behing the seats. The glove box has trouble holding the manual. The four little cubbies in the dash are only big enough for the garage door buttons. They are not deep enough for even a pair of sun glasses. The electric gas peddle (Throttle by wire) does not send the signal to the engine on quick moves causing the hesitation. When crusing it goes in and out of high gear. Dealer says it is a smart trans trying to get the most milage. If I wants milage I would have bought an economy car. I for got to mention it does have 6 cup holders. WOW."

"This truck is a very quiet ride, and excellent handling truck. The new design is pretty sleek, and the choice of using either Flex fuel E85 or regular gas is great. The side windows in the back seat go all the way down instead of popping out,the backdoor opens all the way, almost touching the bed,It has Nice power and the hint of the grumble of the exhaust makes it a sound like a truck again.Bigger tires make it look a little meaner. I have been very happy with my purchase and will buy GMC again"

"way better than a "found on road dead" (ford) and why you would want a foreign truck is beyond me. The GMC 1500 it the best quality truck. You pay for what you get it's smooth stylish and dependable. If you wanna gamble with the others than I hope you get lucky but chances are you won't nothing beats American made and GMC is at the top of the list"

"Truck get decent gas mileage but fills cheap built and interior radials alot . Ford F150 is better built and gets about the same gas mileage . Also transmission in GM truck shifts to hard and loud . When engie is cold it knocks when starting it up. Traded in for a Ford F150 Better Truck All Out ! GM only had 6000 miles and i was tired of it."
