"Absolutely loved my Terrain. I had it for over 2 years and 27000 miles. Averaged around 28 mpg with Ecoboost, lots of cruise control, and light acceleration and braking. Lots of interior room too... Loved the adjustable back seat, spacious "trunk"' and interior storage compartments. We had to trade it in for a 7 person wagon though. Would have loved to have kept the Terrain and driven it until the wheels feel off... May be taken awhile though, we didn't have a single mechanical issue."

"If you like a gasoline engine powered vehicle that sounds as loud as a diesel, a fuel pump all the way in the rear of your vehicle that sounds like it's going to fly apart, and road noise so bad you must turn on the fan on the air/heater and the specially designed noise cancelling stereo up full blast to drown out those noise, then this is the vehicle for you! I've never seen 25mpg with my 4 cylinder either."

"The Terrain SLE1 is fun to drive. My gas milage has been okay overall 28 mpg. Between one fill up I did get 32.4. Driving habit is very important in getting peak mileage. I've had mine for three weeks and love it so far. I am very weel pleased with my in town mpg. In town driving would bring my others vehicles mpg down drastically. But I'm still able to keep it around 26 in town. I do use the ECO mode all of the time. So far pretty happy with it. The ride is comfortable. I like the on board computer options."

"I like the style of the terrain....it has a comfortable ride. The interior is roomy and quiet. I purchased a 2011 SLT-2 4 cyl in Oct 2010 and have not been happy with gas mileage. I have yet to see 32mpg or even 28mpg. I live in MN and so far this winter the poorest mileage is 16mpg and the best 19mpg. I had the dealer check out for any problems, but our weather has been vey cold and they found nothing yet. I drive 80% highway and 20% city. I hope the mileage improves....if not I will trade it for a vehicle that is true to mileage that is posted on the sticker."

"I purchased our 2011 GMC Terrain SLE as we needed more interior room with our daughter's car seat and storage when we went on trips. So far I have loved this car. We have the 4 banger which is good on gas mileage, avg 25 city and highway so far after 1600 miles. The standard features that come with the base model are awesome considering that other manufactures are charging 30K+ for theirs and the Terrain starts at 24,900 which is what we paid. The transmission takes a little getting used to but once you do, you realize that it's quicker than you originally thought. The seats could be a little more comfortable but the automatic lumbar support helped a lot on a recent 8 hour trip. I would recommend this vehicle to anyone looking for a fuel efficient, spacey SUV crossover."

"Excellent vehicle! GMC has created a winner! Our gas mileage has been quite good - we have not taken it on a trip but consistantly get 22 to 23 MPG around the local area with the V6 engine. The interior is well appointed, seats are quite comfortable and we have not found a single thing in or on the car that has caused a problem. We currently have almost 5000 miles on our Terrain and simply love everthing about the vehicle. All of the safety features combined with On Star gives us a great deal of comfort while driving our Terrain. The quality of the workmanship is excellent - great suv, reasonably priced for all of the features that are standard - a great value and fun to drive!"

"I love this vehicle, everything about it except I'm not a GREAT fan of the 4 cylinder, only because I was so used to a 6 cylinder prior, and the shifting just isn't as smooth. Pricing is great, even the lowest package has alot of options."

"Ordered and purchased the car after much research and comparison with other brands and models. Have driven it about 1k so far and am thoroughly enjoying the space, ride, interior features and overall comfort. Use it for both highway and local driving and am averaging about 27mpg thus far. Expect this to improve. 4L engine not as peppy but I am in no hurry and appreciate the mileage savings."
