Cars.com Enhances Mobile Site with Addition of New Car Pricing Tools

Shoppers Can Now Access Critical Pricing Information While Out Shopping for a Car

Cars.com (http://www.cars.com) now offers consumers the opportunity to access new car pricing information on mobile handsets. Cars.com continues to add new features such as this to its mobile application, which was launched in May of 2007, giving savvy car shoppers on-the-go access to the information they need to make confident buying decisions.

"In a recent survey that we conducted of our mobile users, we found that more than 39 percent accessed the Cars.com mobile site while they were on a dealer lot shopping for a car," said Sharon Knitter, senior director of consumer products at Cars.com. "By adding new car pricing information, we are arming consumers with even more information they need so they can decide what to buy, where to buy and how much to pay while out shopping for a car."

New car pricing data is consistent with popular information found on the Cars.com website, including manufacturers suggested retail price, the invoice price and Cars.com's Smart Target Price, which is a pricing tool that tells consumers what they can realistically expect to pay for any particular vehicle, based on current market factors. In addition to new car pricing, consumers can access detailed information on various car features and specifications.

In addition to new car pricing, visitors to the Cars.com mobile site can access millions of new and used car listings and get more details on the cars that interest them, including photos. Other features allow shoppers to access Kelley Blue Book's Used Car Values, calculate vehicle payments and read expert reviews and the latest automotive news via Cars.com's blog, KickingTires and family/mom related content through MotherProof.com. Mobile shoppers can also quickly find a local dealer through the site's dealer locator, which will also offer maps and directions to the dealership and click-to-call functionality.

"With wireless web access on the rise, Cars.com sees an opportunity to bring those shoppers practical applications they can use while out shopping for a car," added Knitter. "We will continue to look for ways to enhance our mobile site to offer more tools and advice that will help buyers gain confidence in the shopping process."
