Free Cars.com Webinar Discusses How Video Helps Dealers Accelerate Sales

Cars.com announced today a webinar to discuss the importance of using video to connect with in-market shoppers, raise inventory visibility and increase sales. The free event, "Lights, Camera, Sold: Leverage Online Video to Desk More Deals," begins at noon EDT on May 8.

"Video allows dealers to provide car buyers with the complete picture of what they can expect--from the car itself to the experience of buying and owning the vehicle," said Ralph Ebersole, Cars.com director of automotive consulting and dealer training. "It also deepens the emotional connection with the shopper that accelerates the sale."

Ebersole will moderate the DealerADvantage Live session. He will be joined by Rob Fontano, internet sales director for Naples, Fla.-based John Marazzi Nissan; and Joe Webb, president/consultant of Dealer Knows. Attendees will get tips on how to:

- Showcase vehicles with a personalized demonstration of their features and condition.
- Build rapport through a brief introduction that highlights their expertise and commitment to helping shoppers find the right car.
- Promote the value of buying from their store with customer testimonials and a tour of their facility.

"Successfully adding video to your website and third-party listings doesn't require high-end gear or a professional production company," Ebersole said. "We've seen dealers drive excellent results with a low-cost Flip camera and a quick walk-around review of the car. Buyers mainly want that added bit of information to assure them they've found the right vehicle and the right place to purchase it."

Thousands of franchise and independent dealers have attended DealerADvantage Live since Cars.com launched the webinar series in September 2006.

Dealers do not have to be Cars.com customers to attend the webinar, but they must download free WebEx software (http://www.webex.com) to participate.
