Free Cars.com Webinar Discusses How Dealers Can Leverage Clunkers and Other New-Car Incentives to Generate More New-Car Sales

Cars.com announced today a webinar to discuss how dealers can capitalize on federal incentive programs such as "Cash for Clunkers" and sales tax deductions. The free event, "Drive New Sales With CARS: How to Cash-In on Clunkers Legislation," begins at noon EDT on July 10.

"CARS provides dealers with a unique opportunity to drive showroom traffic and jumpstart new-vehicle sales," said Ralph Ebersole, Cars.com director of automotive consulting and dealer training. "Salespeople who quickly identify prospects with clunkers and get them into the store position themselves to win more than their fair share of the deals."

Ebersole will moderate the DealerADvantage Live session, which will include a panel of industry experts. Attendees will get advice on how to:
-Implement the CARS program at their store.
-Reach prospects with "clunkers" and bring them into the dealership.
-Build an effective online marketing strategy to reach in-market shoppers.
-Leverage government incentives within their processes to close new-car deals.

"Already we're hearing from car buyers who plan to make a purchase when CARS goes into effect in late July," Ebersole said. "We encourage dealers to register for the program and make the necessary changes to their merchandising and sales processes now so they can hit the ground running to win new car business."
