Chicago—October 7, 2009—Cars.com announced today a webinar to discuss how to reach in-market car buyers with online chat and build effective processes for ongoing success. The free workshop, "Win the Sale With Online Chat," begins at noon EDT on Oct. 9.
"As dealers look for new ways to engage car buyers, chat plays an increasingly important role in online sales," said Kathy Kimmel, director of training at Cars.com. "Chat offers a new way to start a dialogue with internet shoppers, provide service and move them toward a purchase."
Kimmel will moderate this month's DealerADvantage Live workshop. She will be joined by: Jim Flint, corporate director of interactive sales and marketing at John Eagle Family of Dealerships; and Ed Parkinson, vice president of ContactAtOnce. Attendees will get advice on:
-- How to incorporate chat into their internet sales process.
-- Best practices for engaging customers in online conversation.
-- How to transition a chat to a sale.
-- How to integrate chat sessions with your CRM tool for lead management and follow-up.
"Chat connects dealers with prospects who may not have contacted them through traditional channels, positioning their stores to win incremental deals," said Kimmel. "We continue to hear from internet sales managers that sell cars within a few hours of activating chat."
