Most-Targeted Cities

Each year, the National Insurance Crime Bureau releases rankings of vehicle theft hot spots. The NICB reviews FBI data on vehicle theft to determine the most-targeted metropolitan areas. In 2011, Fresno, Calif., topped the chart as the nation's auto theft hot spot.

Vehicle Theft Hot Spots
The following 10 metropolitan areas had the highest rate of vehicle theft per 100,000 residents in 2011, according to the NICB.
