A front-drive coupe, Avenger is a corporate twin of the Chrysler Sebring, differing only in styling details. Both are built on the Mitsubishi Galant platform at a plant the Japanese company operates in Normal, Ill. They use a 2.5-liter V-6 with 163 horsepower. Both are scheduled to be redesigned for the 2001 model year, when they will again be based on the Galant platform but be styled by DaimlerChrysler.  Read more
