Face-lifted for 2005, Ford's smallest sport utility vehicle combines a friendly personality with capable performance and driving ease. A four-cylinder engine is standard, but the Escape can be equipped with a V-6. Mazda's similar Tribute is considered to be the Escape's slightly sportier cousin.
