Consumer incentives are rebates offered by manufacturers to car buyers. You might receive the rebate as a check in the mail or have the dealer apply the discount immediately to reduce the vehicle's price.

Dealer incentives are factory-to-dealer cash-incentive programs. Dealers are not obligated to share with consumers the factory incentives received for selling particular vehicles.
