Not content to let competitors drift alone into the 250-plus horsepower stratosphere, Mitsubishi gave its Galant midsize sedan a modest freshening for 2007 that includes an upgraded 258-hp V-6. In a segment where horsepower often means sales — a questionable motive, given these are front-wheel-drive family cars with automatic transmissions — the former Galant's 230-hp V-6 fell short.
