The Lamborghini Miura Concept arrives just as the original Miura, which was produced during the late 1960s through the early '70s, celebrates its 40th anniversary. Lamborghini design head Walter de' Silva penned the Miura Concept, which doesn't stray far from the basic shape of the original.
A prominent horizontal intake spans the Miura Concept's front fascia, with a chin spoiler below it. The car's sides have air intakes near the rear edges of the doors.
In profile, the Miura Concept features flowing body lines that arc gracefully over the front and rear wheels. Rectangular taillamps are set in the rear fascia.
Throwback vehicle designs have become more commonplace lately, though not especially so in the exotic sports car segment. The most recent was the Ford GT; it remains to be seen if a production Lamborghini Miura will join it. |
