Consumer Reviews
"We purchased the car on Sept. 8 and have driven it 13,000 miles. It is March 3 today. We purchased the 2WD to get the 2 mpg benefit. The seats are very comfortable. The car drives like a dream. It has good performance, if you do not want a race car. We greatly enjoy the increased carrying capacity and my wife likes the idea of having a car instead of a boxy station wagon. We were told the rear visibility was not good, but at 5'6" I have not found that to be true. It is also to change the oil. We have had several Honda's with the oil filter on the back side of the 4 cylinder engine. The Crosstour's filter is on the front, making it easy to change. This is our 5th Honda. One was totaled, one was sold and is still being driven by a man who goes 50 miles to work. We still own three."

"Love my Crossstour. Drove an Infiniti SUV for a long time, dreaded trading it but the Crosstour has made me "forget" that car. The interior is roomy, my two 6'4" sons fit beautifully in it with plenty of leg room front and back and headroom is amazing. Alot of safety features, wider and lower base so I don't fear rollover as much. Drives beautifully in the snow. Lots of storage. Handles smoothly. GPS, XM radio, and USB ports along with sub woofers make the sound system wonderful. Exterior is uniquely styled which makes every one want to know what it is and when people get a closer look, they love it!! Have read the reviews about the grille but think it looks good. I get alot of compliments. Looks classy but can be individually styled with accessories to be more "outdoorsy" in appearance. Honda offers alot of versatility so the owner can choose how their crosstour will look depending up preference. Only complaint I have is the mileage could be better . Honda also takes care of their owners, with wonderful service and response. Definitely would do it all over again."

"When I purchased the Crosstour, I was really looking for an alterative to the Toyota Venza. Well I found it in this car. Most of my research was with the Venza. I have been buying Toyota's for 30 years and am very satisfied with them. I really was excited about how much better a car the Venza was than any I've tested. I am handicapped with arthritis and need easy entry and seating, which is why I was looking at a cross-over vehicle (cars too low to the ground, SUV's too high). When I looked and then sat in the Crosstour all memory of the Venza was gone and I knew this was my new car. Great job Honda."

"Well, I'm a Honda girl, and have been since my first car. I've had a 1992, still have my 1994, and now the 2010 Crosstour. It was such as change to step into the 2000's. I LOVE this car, and get compliments almost everywhere I go. The only thing I would like to see is the power outlets able to charge when the car is off like my truck. That's about the only thing I was not happy with, but hey, that's as minor as one can get. It you are thinking about getting on, DO IT!"

"The Accord Crosstour is a unique vehicle in a very bland segment of Crossovers. Everywhere I go people ask, "what is that?" or tell me "that's a gorgeous car!". I have owned it just a few months but have to say it's been a phenomenal experience thus far. My Crosstour has really been useful for hauling things from IKEA, and more recently, moving. Gas mileage is probably it's only setback, but I would argue most of these larger vehicles get so-so mileage with a V6 under the hood. Speaking of V6! The engine is phenomenal, and it doesn't need a 6speed automatic (one of the most common nit-picks by reviewers). Acceleration is strong and handling is superb. I have had 3 Accord sedans prior to this car, and this is my favorite. I can't wait to start seeing more on the road!"

"I admit I thought this car looked sharp the first time I saw it on TV, so I don't get why it's gotten such negative reviews in this regard. I've also gotten many compliments on it from family, friends & even my parking garage attendant! That aside - I was torn between the look of a sedan and the convenience of an SUV/crossover. For me this was a great compromise. I do a lot of camping & all my gear fits well in the cargo area, with room leftover. I don't mind that it's not as large as other cars in its class. I do love the hidden storage area - great for hiding my laptop. The interior is extremely comfy and roomy. Sound system buttons are a bit large & scattered, but not a big deal, and the sound quality is excellent. The rest of the interior is very polished. I test drove a Venza & the dash looked like cheap grained plastic - it also did not drive as smoothly as the Crosstour. The back view took a bit of getting used to, but I can honestly say I have no problems with it now. I love the fact that the sideview mirrors tilt down when in reverse as well. It has good acceleration & decent power - all my previous cars were sticks so I was afraid I'd miss the zip of a manual transmission, but I've been pleased with the way this responds. The only drawback for me is the mileage. I have the 4WD so I've been getting between 22 and 24 mpg; probably expected for this type of car but I used to get 34 mpg so it's been a bit of sticker shock at the gas pump. Yes, it should have a trip computer, and it should also have an auto trunk release, but for me these are minor concessions. I'd also like to see a sunroof that auto closes when the key is turned off (with optional override) - I had this in my Corolla and it was a great feature. I priced the Nissan Murano and Ford Edge, and with all of the options I wanted, both were at least 4 grand more then the Crosstour EX-L. And the Crosstour, in my opinion, is more luxurious looking than the Edge. All in all, I love this car & wouldn't hesitate to recommend it to anyone! Am interested to see how it responds in snow."

"This Crosstour is my first Honda and not likely my last. It's the first car I have ever owned that I have caught people walking around and looking at in the parking lot as I approach (happened three times in three months), looking at the car as they drive by, and commenting at the drive-thru window on how great the car looks. And no, they aren't staring in disgust -- they love the looks of the car. So, the reviews that I read before buying this car that trashed its styling are as far off-base in terms of actual human reaction to the looks of the car as could be. The car handles very well, although it's no speed demon. It's acceleration is fine, don't get me wrong, but its styling suggests a more aggressive power plant. However, I am more grateful for the better gas mileage than I lament the lack of blow-me-into-the-back-seat power. As far as gas mileage, I am averaging 26.4 with 75% of my first 7,000 miles being highway driving. Not bad, but not great. The only complaint I have is the lack of a driver-information center that includes fuel consumption and mileage information. It seems that a car with an electronic display (monochrome) for temperature, compass heading, and audio information should at least be able to tell you your average mileage, remaining miles to empty, fuel used, etc. Also, the outside temp can only be displayed at the expense of the odometer reading or trip odometer. Kind of lame. The seats are very comfortable, the leather is good quality, the layout of the instruments is fine, and the organization of the climate control and audio is pretty good (although a bit two spread out for me). The back seat is very rooming and comfortable, but there should be a power outlet (preferably an AC outlet) for the iPod and phone users. Speaking of iPods, the usb connection is great to have, but its location in the bottom, back portion of the center console is puzzling and awkward. The sound system is surprisingly good, by the way -- best sound system of any car I've owned. What I am most confused by, however, is the attempts to label this vehicle in such a way as to suggest it is a crossover. It's not. Quite simply, this is a large four-door hatchback with elevated ground clearance, large wheels and 4WD (on my model). It has far more in common with an Accord than with a Pilot. It's a car, it's a car, it's a car. Nothing else, but a really, really cool looking car that is very enjoyable to drive."
