"This is a horrible car. It has nothing but issues after issues. From brakes prematurely wearing out to everything else falling apart. These cars are being made more and more cheaply. It has been a complete nightmare owning this vehicle. Honda customer service sucks too. They don't care about their consumers. I will never buy Honda again!"

"Overall my 2008 Accord EX-L is a nice car. I opted for the EXL mainly for the leather. It's a high quality leather that feels and looks to be genuine leather. The interior looks better then any of it's competitors. I have gotten as high as 36 MPG on the interstate with the 4-cylinder engine. The exterior is very sleek and advanced. Although it's a front wheel drive it does surprisingly well in snow. Performance isn't forgotten at all in the 4-cylinder, it has enough power to do what is needed. The only down side to the small vehicle is the ground clearance. The front bumper drags very easily. I do like the car even though it does have some things to be worked out."

"Really like the car. I have an LX and wish I had gotten an EX for more do-dads. Wish it had a protection strip along the sides. I call it my "travelin' car"."

"It took me more than two months, but found an Accord. Have a great reputation and history which is why I chose this. other comparable brands did not have the quality of the inside Price was good, mileage okay, but inside car was what sold me on this used car. Gas mileage was a consideration. I am averaging 30 mpg."

"This is the second time I have been burned by Honda. First time, I bought a 2000 Accord, and it turned out to be a lemon. I tried again in 2008 with the Accord to only have a similar situation. To start, both transmitters gave me problems every three months for the first two years. The following items had to be replaced before the car hit 30K: battery, tires and new rear break pads. Other areas of the car are poorly designed. The trunk is basically pieces put together with stapels. Well, it wasn't strong enough to hold up with suitcases during traveling. The final issue was recently. The vinal that covers the console arm rest began bubbling up from the heat. Honda replaced it for us out of good faith since we've had so many other issues. Well about a month ago, the same problem occured with the passengers side arm rest on the door. That was the last problem that I would tolerate. Honda is highly overrated, and they are only living off of the reputation they established in the '90s. I will NEVER own another one."

"I've always wanted to buy this car, and after purchasing it I felt confident and pleased that I had gotten the new Honda Accord. Since I bought it about two years ago I have had nothing but problem after problem with this car. From rear brakes wearing out prematurely (class action lawsuit), front brakes wearing out (all at less than 10,000 miles), interior falling apart due to cheap parts used, power seats failing to work for no reason, etc. Honda never again."

"Great performance from the 4cyl and great gas mileage (27 city, 31 hwy) make this car the perfect combination of performance and economy. Plenty of room for a family of four and super nice to drive extended distances. I can't come up with any negatives, and this is after 37k miles."

"I decided to try Honda instead of Toyota with this purchase because of the exterior style. The road noise is annoying. The gas mileage is a huge disappointment. (It is a 4 cylinder for goodness sakes!) My brakes began making noise at 35,000 miles also. The overall quality of this EX-L compared to a Camry is pitiful. My next car will be a Toyota like this one should have been."

Newly designed Accord lacking from prior models

"As previously owner of 4 Honda's since 1999, I am disappointed in the apparent cost cutting components of the newer Accord. For example, 4 cyl engine w/manual has much worse performance and economy than same exact 2004 model. Very disappointing. Road noise is much more prevalent, no insulation under hood, in doors or trunk. Buckets seat design is much more uncomfortable. Cheap controls for windows, locks and mirrors. Currently am very tempted to purchase/trade for older model."
