"Very driver friendly cockpit. Radio and h/vac controls are easy to read and use. Engine and standard transmission are very peppy. I would definitely buy this car again!"

"This car has given me so much trouble over the past year and a half that I couldn't be happier to get rid of it. I should've done some research before I bought it because it seems like I'm not the only one who's had trouble with the radiator and the engine. I've replaced the radiator twice, the thermostat once and I just found out there's a hole in the engine. I'm a college student so I cannot afford a car that's this unreliable. It's been nothing but a headache since I got it off the lot, back in May of 2011. November of 2011 (only a mere 6 months later) the radiator completely blew, for no reason. Bottom line, if you have the money to keep replacing expensive parts, then by all means, buy this car."

"Bought this car new just before hurricane Katrina hit. By the end of August 05, gas prices in the southeast were over $4.00 a gal. Since, I have driven 120,000. A tune-up and timing belt/water pump at 101,000. Just keeps cranking away. I hope to keep this car another 7 years!"

"The Honda Civic is a fantastic car for it's price. Aside from making the 90,000 mile purchase of a timing belt, I never put more money into this car aside from oil changes and gas. Gas mileage on this car was amazing. Smooth, quiet ride. I had a basic model and only sold this car at 120,000 miles because I came to a point where I was ready to upgrade."

"This is the 4th Honda car I bought and the 2nd Civic I've owned. Purchased an EX in 2009 with just shy of 75k and still going strong just over 100k. While it may be fun and economical to drive, the heating and cooling occasionally work intermittently. Given the online forums, it looks like it might be a common occurence. Aside from that, the car has been great and served me well. I considered the 2006 and after redesigns but don't like what they did. With the reliability, features and economy of the car, this may be the best civic ever."

"This car gets about 40mpg (37.5-43.8) and runs great. Other than replacing the battery and windshield wipers, I haven't had any problems with it. It would be nice to have more space for cup holders."

"My 2005 Civic LX is great, the fuel mileage is unbelievably good! The car runs well and has given me very little trouble. But there are a few things I really don't like about it. First: it's loud. The car is not well insulated and really has alot of road noise. Second: the heater sux! (yes I have replaced thermostat and had heater looked at by dealer). The heater is simply not adequate if you live in a cold climate! When I talked to dealer about this, they said "yeah, we hear that alot". How ridiculous that to save a few bucks per car Honda skimps on the heater. And that's the type of thing you most likely wouldn't know when you test drive a car. Third: it's a little hard to start in sub zero weather. But everything else is so good on this car, it's hard not to like it. And it's a great value for $15k! I would buy it again but I will make SURE my next car has an adequate heater."

"Had a 2005 Civic EX SE Cpe. that I bought new. Traded it in 2008 because I needed something larger. I have regretted getting rid of it every day since! Admittedly, it is a small car, but it is so fun to drive (esp. w/ a 5spd) because it's quick and nimble. Plus it is quite a little fuel-sipper!! If they're maintained, these cars will run virtually forever. If maintained, at 100K miles, these cars are just getting broken in. Needless to say, I don't need the bigger car anymore so I'm searching for another EX SE Cpe. WITH a 5spd. I don't care if I'm going 'backwards' 6 years. I want what I want!"
