"My wife and I purchased our 2008 Honda Civic in September, 2011. We are very pleased so far with the Civic. Gas mileage has been very good. City driving we are averaging 30-31 MPG. Highway it is around 35. The car handles extremely well, and is fun to drive. I am pleased with the features on the Civic, and I have wanted to purchase one for the last several years. My twenty year old son bought an 2003 Honda Civic last year, and he hasn't had one problem with it. Great car, and great value."

"My previous Civic was a 2001. Honda has greatly improved the ride, style and comfort in the Civic in the 2008 model year. I have two complaints and they are minor: 1) the hooks for the driver's side floor mat make it a challenge to remove the mat 2) still no light in the glovebox!!! I consistently get 33-36 mpg in this Civic, which is an automatic. My '01 was a stick shift and got 37 mpg on average. Considering the '08 is a bigger car, I'm impressed with the gas mileage. When I was car shopping this time I flirted with the idea of trying a Toyota but I'm glad my husband talked me out of it. If you're car shopping and unsure, I can highly recommend the Honda Civic."

"I bought a used 2008 Honda Civic Sedan in 2011. It's a V4 that drives like a V6. Great handling/performance. Roomy interior, plenty of legroom for backseat passengers. Large trunk and interior console compartment. There's a place for everything from drinks to sunglasses, storing my GPS and phone charger. I love the MP3 jack, a great improvement over either a single or multiple CD-changer, though it also has a single CD changer that I use. The dashboard design and control panel are easy to read day and night and the digital speedometer is accurage (matches the built-in speedometer on my GPS when in use). The Oil-Life indicator is a huge plus and saves me money as the Civic does not require an oil change every 3,000 miles. As the car gets older, I'm sure the oil-life indicator will adjust accordingly. Good gas mileage for a sedan, especially since I mainly drive short trips. However, have gotten as much as 34 mpg on long trips. I have only had the car a few months and it's the most luxurious feeling car I've ever owned. I have not yet learned how to use the Cruise Control which should increase my gas mileage on long trips. In other words, after all this, you're silly if you don't consider a Honda Civic."

"Having gotten rid of my 2003 Civic Ex ...over 100k and still running like a top...I decided it was time for a change. The Mini was appealing to me...but after reading review after review ...I changed my mind. What other car would be as much fun to drive, yet more reliable??? The answer was easy my almost brand new (2008) Civic Si. If you are not into high revving engines and changing gears...this is not the car for you. But, if you like a fun to drive, economical sports car, then this is the car for you...Mind you it does take premium gas, yet I was getting 35 mpgs driving the highways. I am 65 years old...and while this appears to be a car for the younger set I feel very comfortable...front seats are firm..visibility is good..nice sized rear view mirrors are a help. Then of course there is the Honda reliability...put it al together and you've got a great package."

"Have owned my 2008 EX Coupe for 2 months. I love the styling. Fit and finish is excellent, car is fun to drive and handles very nice. The ride feels a little firmer than my previous Toyota Corolla. My only minor complaints: The front pillars are a little wider due to the side airbags which creates a slight blind spot in the front corners (This seems to be true with most new vehicles). I also wish the trunk had some type of netting to prevent things from sliding around while you are driving. The gas mileage has been excellent, around 35mpg combination of city and highway driving. I like the design of the dash. The placement of the digital speedometer allows you to easily see it without taking your eyes off the road. All controls are easy to find. Very nice factory stereo. So far very happy with this car"

"We purchased a used 2008 Civic 2 door for my son to drive to work and school. Perfect car for a young driver. Power is well controlled. Handles nice. Looks great. Awesome with gas (fill up every 3 weeks or so). He loves it and everyone comments how nice looking a car it is."
