Vehicle Overview

The five-seat Crosstour is a midsize hatchback that offers more cargo-carrying versatility than a conventional family sedan. It receives a host of updates for the 2013 model year, including exterior styling tweaks and more standard features. Offered with a four-cylinder or V-6 engine, the Crosstour can have front- or all-wheel drive. Competitors include the Subaru Outback and Toyota Venza.

New for 2013

Revised styling includes a new front-end that makes the Crosstour look more like the recently redesigned Accord sedan. Additional changes include updated cabin materials, a more powerful available V-6 engine, and standard features like a backup camera. Available safety features include a blind-spot display, forward collision warning and lane departure warning.

Exterior

The 2013 Crosstour's updated exterior includes a new grille, bumpers and diffusers. The rear body panels coalesce at a black panel below the rear window. Exterior features include:

  • Standard dual tailpipes
  • Standard 17-inch alloy wheels; 18-inch wheels optional
  • Standard fog lights
  • Standard power moonroof

Interior

The Crosstour seats five in two rows of seats. Releasing two levers in the rear drops the 60/40-split folding backseat to create a generous 51.3 cubic feet of cargo space. Interior features include:

  • Waterproof storage box under the cargo floor
  • Cargo panels are reversible for carrying wet or muddy items
  • Standard compass and outside temperature indicator
  • Available dual-zone automatic air conditioning
  • Standard six-CD stereo with MP3 jack and USB port
  • Standard Bluetooth connectivity
  • Standard steering-wheel audio controls
  • Available leather upholstery with heated front seats
  • Available navigation system

Under the Hood

Mechanical features include:

  • Front- or all-wheel drive
  • Standard 192-horsepower, 2.4-liter four-cylinder engine with five-speed automatic transmission
  • Available 278-hp, 3.5-liter V-6 with six-speed automatic that incorporates shift paddles for driver-initiated gear changes
  • Fuel-saving cylinder-deactivation technology for V-6
  • Uses regular gas
