"35 miles to the gal. is the worst of 4 tanks of gas. Up to 38 miles on one tank of gas. Missing center armrest. The option was $300+ I wish I had one. Will add one soon."

"I have had my 2012 fit sport for about six months now and I thought I'd give my opinion. For years I drove a big powerful SUV and I decided I wanted to downsize for a smaller more fuel-efficient vehicle. I chose a new 2012 fit sport automatic transmission. I read a lot of reviews on it and it seemed like a great little car that was very flexible in cargo capability. It has a very small engine and as you drive it you can feel it is peppy but it doesn't have a lot of horsepower and torque. The interior design of the fit is absolutely ingenious. It has what it what is called a magical rearseat that flips up to carry tall objects or you can fold the rear seat back down completely and you have a very large open space to carry cargo. I think the fit could carry more cargo than any small car in its class easily. On the outside the fit looks pretty small but when you get inside it it feels rather roomy. The gas mileage on the fit is really good but I feel that a car the small should get a little bit better gas mileage, although I am happy with it. It drives well, handles well, and overall I am very happy with it. There is only one con I will bring up. After reading all these reviews here on this site I am surprised I have not read anybody commenting on this issue, ROAD NOISE. As far as road noise goes this is the noisy as car I have ever owned and in the past yes I have owned some small economy cars but none with the road noise that the fit has. If road noise bothers you and you are considering a new fit I suggest you take this car for a long test ride by yourself, both on secondary roads and on the highway to see what you think about the road noise. When I went on my test drive the salesman sitting next to me made sure the stereo was on so I wouldn't hear the full extent of the road noise. Other than the road noise I think the fit is a great little car."

Pretend it's a sports car

"In 10 weeks I have driven 8000 miles...that is right!! The first night put on 450 miles and it got 39.7 miles to the gallon!! I calculate the gas mileage myself, do not rely on the gage. I find it gets between 34 and 39 regularly. Obviously I drive a lot both highway and "city" by southern VA's standards; not sit and wait traffic as some might drive. My only complaint is that I went to the emergency room thinking I had kidney stones..I now realize it is back pain from the seats. They do not have many options for adjustment. I just got the oil changed and was shocked at the price of an oil change for the synthetic blend. Gotta say, I love this car...except for the comfort."

"I compared the Fit with a Prius and am glad that I saved a lot of money. It would take 15 years to make up the difference in price with fuel savings, and I love the design of the Fit--especially the folding back seat."

"I would like to have a lumbar bar in the back seat, and I feel that the shifting from 3rd to 4th is slow. I LOVE the extra windows in the front and back of the car, MUCH safer to drive. I thought it was a bit overpriced. Would have liked to have $2,000 less. Very reliable. I miss the temperature announcement. Interesting that after each oil change I get MORE miles per gallon on the car."

Love My New Car

"I have to say that I love my Fit. It is fun to drive and I love the styling of the interior. When I first bought the car, I was a little disappointed because I was only averaging 28-30 mpg. But when I hit 2,000 miles, I was on a trip from Houston to San Antonio. On that trip I averaged 37.5 mpg, and part of the trip on that tank of gas was driving on city streets in Houston. Most of my driving is divided between highway and city and I am averaging 34 mpg. I started watching the gauge on the dash for current mpg and I am learning to adjust my acceleration and coasting to maximize my mpg. I have the Sport model with automatic transmission and I wish I had gone ahead and paid for the navigation. I work out of my car and the interior styling gives me lots of spaces for storage for the things I need while working. On my first long trip, I did find the seat to be a bit uncomfortable, but that has improved. The seat is fine as long as I take the time to make sure I am sitting in the center of the seat and that I am the correct distance from the stearing wheel. I have a bad back, so others may not have this problem. Also, there is so much hauling space in the back. I make and sell handmade pottery on the weekends, and last weekend, I was able to fit everything needed for my booth in the back of the Fit and still had room for myself and my husband. In previous vehicles, I have had to move the front passenger seat so far forward that a passenger would not fit. My husband also loves driving it and is contemplating getting a Fit for himself. Besides saving money on gas, you will also save money on oil changes. I am at 4700 miles and still no oil change in site. I have read that it may only need an oil change once a year, basically when the indicator light says that an oil change is needed. Fun, fun car."

"I really love the look of my new Honda Fit it looks like a mini Odyssey Van. The interior is a little on the econo side but very practical. Seats are definitely for small people not very wide and not a lot of cushioning. I'm only 5'7" and I drive with my seat all the way back so there isn't a lot of leg room. The back seats fold down and make it easy for us to load up our road bikes. I could easily fit 3 Bikes with the front wheels off. The gas mileage is good not great but it's what they claimed it would be. Love the paddle shifters don't use them much but they are cool. Overall I'm very happy with my purchase just wish it had a bit more power and got better gas mileage but i guess you can't have both."
