Consumer Reviews
"Believe all the positive remarks and "experts" about the Odyssey - because they are all true. We purchased our Odyssey only a month ago, and so far the vehicle is great. We originally wanted the Elite - but due to low national stock and punching the numbers, we opted for the Touring - and still had to wait 6 weeks. The engine is plentiful and smooth. Driver seat is comfortable. Still learning all the electronics. The middle row has great versatility, something we really liked - with middle seat extending forward for infant and two outer expand out for greater comfort - and allowing space between the big bulky infant seat. One primary plus that drew us to this vehicle is access to third row. I tried sooo hard to find another vehicle with a third row, having convenient accessibility - but simply couldn't - with the exception of the Tahoe and the like - the wife did not want something that big. We looked at Volvo xc90 - very nice - but too small. Ford?s new updated explorer was a joke - being 6' - the middle seat could not even move forward to allow a piece of paper to get in the 3rd row - let alone a child. We did look at Toyotas minivan, but did never drive one. Seating in one seemed OK ? but not as comfortable as the Odyssey. The Toyota salesman couldn?t find any keys to their premium line of minivan so I personally never drove the Toyota but if I remember I did not like the hood ? or the lack there of a hood. The Nissan minivan we should of look at ? but didn?t. I did not want to lose more than half the purchase price immediately after driving off the dealership lot ? so we did not even look at Dodge. At the end of all the research - the answer was very clear - Odyssey....and now that we have one - I really like it."

"This new Honda Odyssey is like a luxury car in many respects and has performed very well so far. The only negative is that the inside floor is only 46.5 inches wide. My 2000 Honda was slightly wider than 48 inches, allowing me to slide in drywall sheets and plywood with ease. I miss my 2000 Honda Odyssey, mostly for that reason."

"super car though the buying process, as always, was a major hassle. styling definitely isnt bad like many review say. we have the touring edition which as almost all the bells and whistles all of which work really well. probably the best minivan on the road today."

"I only had this car for a few months and I love..... it. I never really wanted to get a mini-van. However, being with my family has caused me to rethink my options. We have a large suv and the gas mileage stinks. Plus the cool looks that this van has inside and out are truly unigue. I am glad that we purchased it. I have had several Hondas and Acuras in the past so I know that this car will be reliable. Way to go Honda you really designed a smart van. I thought about others, but I really wanted a vehicle that would not fail."

"Bought our first minivan because we were tired of cramming all three kids in the back seat of our sedan. We chose the EX-L for the added features even though the price is a little steep for a van. We love all the room inside and all the different seating configurations. We put the infant car seat in the middle of the second row. Sliding the seat forward to get into the back can be difficult with a larger child seat in the middle, even with the wide-mode feature. Engine has nice power and good fuel mileage. Don't know about reliability, but there seems to be a lot of older hondas still on the road. Only problem is that there seems to be a lot of road noise from the front wheel wells, especially when driving in slushy or salted roads (road debris)."

"I really like the van. It is very comfortable, all leather with the NAV. Lots of space and convienence inside. Lots of technology enhancements. From a utility standpoint it would beat any SUV hands down as long as you are not going off road or towing anything large. Now if minivans could over come the stigma of being a minvan all would be right with the world. Who knows though with the styling and features they are putting in them now maybe they will be the must have vehicle again."

"First family minivan. Odyssey v Sienna. We traded our Acura MDX in. I thought I would never buy one but decided it was time after second baby. Power sliding doors, tailgate, and lower entry made it a better choice than a SUV. We like the exterior but thought the rear end could have been styled better and with led lighting. I can feel a slight jerk when the engine kick in and out cylinders but nothing major. I would prefer it do it at highway speeds rather than city driving speeds. That said, it was the interior and car like drive ability that sold us on the odyssey over the sienna. The sienna had more body roll and cheaper interior components. We bought a base EX-L since it had leather and a power tailgate. We bought roof rails and installed them ourselves to save money and it also improved the exterior design, roof rails just seemed to flow and not look so boxy and should be standard on an EX-L. The interior is very comfortable, quiet, and tons of buttons. Bluetooth works great, ipod plugs are cool and the new dash is a great improvement over the last generation. There are a lot of buttons but you get used to them after owning this minivan. The cool box is gimmicky, all it is is the a/c blowing into a drink storage box. I would have given this car 5 stars but upon delivery fresh from the alabama plant we noticed the front bumper was sticking out of place and the paint was chipping. I hope this doesn't reflect on the rest of the vehicle, especially the internal mechanics. Someone at Honda needs to get word to the QA person in Alabama to not rush these minivans without a thorough check. We are in the process of getting a fix through the dealership but it is frustrating been there 2 times with no resolution except it needs a new part and I have to come back. I wish Acura branded this minivan because there service is so much better. Slightly disappointed."

"This is 2nd Odyssey. 2007 ran flawlessly except for minor steering pole problem. $ can be saved by internet shopping. No dealer gives a relaible first price offering, so hang in and knock them down, one against the other. Consumers helps a lot on cost if you want to spend a few dollars and are not an experienced car dealer. Careful study of Odyssey vs. Toyota Sienna. Odyssey more expensive but better mileage and better dashboard. Accessories on Honda are outrageously priced so buy stripped down EX-L and add things after market."
