"We bought this car new in 2008. True, it has great resale value and true it seats a lot of kids but it is a tinny, poorly engineered and overly complicated ride. There are a lot of little gremlins and the dealership is a nightmare to deal with, which is my biggest complaint. For instance... They tried to charge us for an issue that I fixed in from of the mechanic in three minutes. I am the most laid back guy in the world and my blood begins to boil when I pass the dealership. I will never, never, never own another Honda again. If you buy one of these things I hope you enjoy spending time with mechanics...."

Great flexibility and room for our family

"We love the flexibility and comfort offered by our Honda Odyssey. We have three young chldren, and it is great to be able to fit three car seats all in the second row, while still having tons of room for bicycles, strollers, and other things behind. We often have relatives visiting, then we use the third row also and still have plenty of cargo room behind that. The Odyssey drives very smoothly. Despite its size, it still has a tight turning radius to make parking eaiser than you might expect. Highway fuel economy is very good. In suburban and city driving, the economy is not as good as we had hoped, but still abotu 17 MPG."

"Neat features for 2012 but the car is so noisy from road and wind that you can't even use the bluetooth on the highway. No storage inside! Honda deleted one of the dashboard storage compartments and put the spare tire in the floor compartment. My dealer says they understand my complaint but can't re engineer the car. The roof rack (standard on 2010) is now an expensive option. I would not recommend this car to anyone!"

"I am a mom of 6. We have always driven a Tahoe and been pretty happy with it. Since adding numbers 5 and 6 to the family through fostering we knew we needed something bigger. My husband really wanted me to get a Suburban but with gas prices, not to mention my aching back from lifting car seats in and out, I convinced him otherwise. We have had the Odyssey for a little over a month now and could not be happier! The comfort and convenience far surpasses anything I have ever driven. I love not having to move car seats out of the back to load groceries. I have only had to fill up 3 times and we are a family on the go. In the Tahoe I was filling up once a week. We love our new Honda Odyssey and would recommend it to any large family looking for something safe, roomy and convenient!"

"Honda has designed a mini-van to which no other (not Toyota, not Nissan) can compare. I have the LX, which is just a step down from the Touring at the top. Its list price is just a few dollars more than the list was on my previous 2001 Toyota Sienna (yes, I kept the original window sticker, along w/ all other receipts.) Yet this new van has much larger wheels, better tires by far, 4-wheel disc brakes, back-up camera, an 18 CD disc library (CD's are recorded onto a playback system), 3rd row hide-away seating for 3, an in-dash maintenance record easily displaying when service is due, a smart engine (number of cylinders needed varies w/ demand), not to mention a top-notch speaker system, automatic climate control (separate for rear seating), excellent fit and finish, remote lift gate release. Much, much more to see and appreciate. And it handles easily. Mileage can be upwards of 28MPG on the road; around town, 20-22 MPG. Great vehicle, esp. for the price."

"It has been six weeks since we purchased our Odessy, and the only problem we are having still , "Is trying to get the correct section and instructions to operate the different systems on our unit." Example; the radio and the display system. We even checked with our dealer to see if we had been given the wrong owners manual?????"

"use to Lease my family cars before bought my new 2012 - Had a CRV 2007, Pilot 2009, 2005 ford escape, and a 2003 Nissan Pathfinder. and after lease a 2010 Odyssey and rent several for some trips. I decide to buy one..,, Pros: Engine ECO mode, driving comfort, sliding doors, inside room, Backup Camera & entertaining options. I don't have the navi and consider that is not necessary since you can use your own Cell or buy an external GPS. CONS: do not understand why Honda still using a master key's and do not offer the remote options like other good brands."
