"Have new 2007 Pilot EX-L with Nav. Unquestionably a good car with a very smooth engine. However, interior road noise is very pronounced compared to the Toyota Highlander. Actual fuel mileage is no where close to advertised. I had the dealer install the Honda receiver hitch which requires a transmission cooler (makes sense) and a power steering cooler (huh!). All this adds up to over $1,000 with good negotiating. Now I know why the power steering pump cooler...when towiing a small enclosed Motorcycle trailer, loaded weighing 1,700 lbs., the Pilot engine is running at 4,000 RPM most of the time. This is a light trailer...and the Pilot gets 11 MPG pulling it. I pull the same trailer with a 7,000 lb. Dodge Cummins and get 18! I'll go back and stick with Chevy Suburbans and my Dodges!!!"

"We have owned our Pilot for 3 months and love it even more now than when we purchased it. Originally planning to purchase a CRV, but preferred the Pilot. Drives super solid, smooth and rattle free. Hope to keep it in the family for many years. Gas mileage could be better, however, the Pilot is a pretty big vehicle. Averaging about 15 in the city. Planning a trip next week of about 700 miles. Hope the mileage is between 23 or 25 mpg. Feel safe in the Pilot. Vehicle feels planted to the ground. Can not wait till the road trip."

"This is the fourth Honda I've had. Although I have been very happy with all of them, the Pilot has been my favorite. It has everything including a reasonable price. One of the things that I always appreciate about Honda vehicles is how superior the interiors are compared to other cars in their class. But that is just one small thing about the Pilot I love. All the good reviews and test results are true -- this is a great vehicle."

"This car is the best car I have ever owned. Despite the fact that I have always been an owner of Honda's, I have been waiting for Honda to get ride of the Passport(built by Isuzu) and built an SUV in TRUE HONDA FASHION, well my friends they have done it. We purchased our 2007 Honda Pilot about two months ago, and yes it did take me 4 years to go to the Honda dealer to buy this car, I was stuck in an American SUV which I might add was a mistake that lasted 4 years. But back to the Pilot, the ride is so smooth and quite it is amazing. The interior of the Pilot is best in class. The Pilot has lots of power, and room. We just took our Pilot on a little road trip to south Texas, and everything about the Pilot was GREAT!!! The Pilot has all the features you would want in an SUV without the huge price tag. Driving this car must be what it feels like to drive a 70,000 Lexus SUV."

"The Honda Pilot is a wonderful ride. It has all the features of a higher priced luxury suv, without the price tag of one. I have heard complaints about gas mileage but if not driven like a mad man you the mileage is where it ought to be. Resale is outstanding. With this car it is impossible to lose. Me and my brother bought EX-L's together on the same day. We have had no complaints mechanically or otherwise. I would recommend this car to anyone looking for extra room and (I am sorry to say) sick of bieng shortchanged when trading or selling an american made counter part."

"I bought this SUV a year back (right now 10,500 miles in 11 months). I wanted more seats but do not wanted minivan. This was perfect choice for city and ourside drive in Chicago. I though it will work nice in snow and all. Yes it did also, it drives very good but pickup ? too bed. Very slow, I tried others also but same problem. Anyway that is also ok. Just now few days back I saw yellow light and it says oil change and with that there was some code S16 or something. I went to dealership and they said you need some work on breaks/ 4weel fluid is gone that need to be refill that will cost you around 205$. I said this is new car breaks should be in warranty, he said yes ? but it all depends on how you drive. Ok ? so I drive badly to damage the breaks? What about flied oil ? how did it got burned out ? he said that is also depends on your driving habits. So that means warranty covers only if you put your vehicle in garage! What is is ment to drive. We mostly drive in city so breaking is normal. I had Nissan before in 4 years I had to change the breaks only once. If this is the case with my new Honda I will be endup changing the breaks soon. Believe me this is worst car/SUV I saw, this is good to drive but if you have lot of money to spend on then everything is fine. Drive is real fun. But if you are looking for Japanese quality of maintains free vehicle then this is not the right one. Always 12-13 mpg in city < 20 on highway + high maintains cost. I am driving cars for last 15 years never had problem of how I drive."

"Honda bills the Pilot as 'not too big and not too small.' I disagree. The Pilot would be better off if it were 2" or so narrower. This would save weight, improve aerodynamics, and still make it wider than the Toyota 4Runner, Highlander, and other SUVs in its class. The three-seat back-row seat is nice, but a 2-seat back row would suit me just fine. If I had wanted a minivan, I would have bought one. Still, overall it is a great vehicle. I hope to provide some feedback on reliability in the future."

"There is nothing special about this car in terms of features, performance, design, etc. It is, however, an incredible gas guzzler. I get from 8 to 10 MPG city driving even though it is rated to yield 17."

"Another reliable Honda! I did my research before I went to the Honda dealer and found that for the price this was the best 8 passenger SUV. I have a long freeway commute and I didn't want "too big or too small" the Pilot was the perfect fit."
