"I have owned an S4, driven an M3 many times and neither compares to the driving experience of this car. The car is noisy and somewhat cramped with little storage space. The interior is dated but finished well; the stereo is also outdated but then it's hard to hear the music at higher speeds. The reason to own this car lies solely in the driving experience. The steering is ideally weighted and responsive, the handling nothing short of fantastic, the braking excellent. Honda built this car as a special vehicle; its parts, paint are unique to this car. It is built and completely assembled in Japan. For those who love driving, there is no better car for the money."

"It's a true roadster. Ride in the city is slightly bumpy, but on the highway, it's smmmoooooth! Engine noise is tolerable for this roadster, not too loud, not too soft. Gear shift is typically notchy for this car, but unbelievable power nonetheless. Like most if not all convertibles, blindspot is a problem when top is up. Seating comfort is amazing with all necessary switches within reach. Love the blinding white HID headlights. Operation of the electric top is a cinch, quiet and fast. Other car companies boast of operating the top while driving, but Honda ensures your safety by allowing operation of the top only when the car has it's parking brakes on. Trunk room fits my golf bag....is all I care! Radio is sufficient for this car....after all who needs music when the top is down and the wind is blowing music over your head. I love the highly visible digital speedometer. It is easier to watch your speed than the normal dial speedometer. Only two things left to be said about this incredible machine: First, all cars on the road irregardless of their size wants to race with you. Finally, every female cannot resist giving you that "look" and every male suddenly has green eyes!"

"This beautiful little car has been the most fun I've had in years. It handles great and has plenty of power to spare. Fuel economy is respectable. Honda engineered this car very well, and fit and finish compare favorably with much more expensive cars. It is no-frills, strictly a driver's car. If you want a cushy ride, you should consider something else. But, if you want a positive ride with lots of "road feel," this car is the one. I plan on keeping mine a very long time."

"This is a fun car....it handles like a go-cart. Very precise. Past 4000 rpm it really goes. It looks special and gets plenty of attention. The power top is great. I'm always putting it up or down....the glass rear window is distortion free. On the minus side, the tonneau cover for the top takes too much time to install and remove. I would prefer one that covers the entire seating area. The windshield is a little low for me at stoplights, so I tend to stop farther back so I can see the light. The stereo sounds good, and I like the dash controls at my fingertips. Sitting in it is a snug experience (I am 5'10 ) but thats what I would expect in a sports car. Rides stiff and its a bit noisy, but thats how you stay in touch with the road. The headlights are great...they throw a distinct visible white line across the road. Oncoming cars never seem to blink their lights at me. When I first bought it, I took it out on a tight curvy road and it loved to be wound out. After hammering it through a 200 degree turn, I looked back and a car that had been trying to keep up with me slid out into the oncoming lane. I was still accelerating into the straightaway. A second later I was gone and he was just a dot in the mirror."

"Only one issue : seat is a little narrow. Other than that, The car is awesome. The car handles increditabley well and gets on the average of 27 mpg. For the money, I just don't what else you could possibly buy. I've had people walk up to me and say ; what a beautiful car !"

A Perfect Balance

"The S2000 is a perfectly balanced sports car with great tracking and acceleration. Shifting with the short throw 6 speed transmission is effortless. Unless you purposely want to shake the rear end loose, turns made at speed with a downshift involve a perfect line and a burst of speed as you come out of the turn. While the cockpit is small, it is a piece of wearable art. I am 6' and 200 lbs. and the seating position and steering wheel position is perfect. While storage is tight, I find sufficent room for real world day to day use. The convertible top goes up or down in about 6 seconds and my top is down more often than not. The more you know about the car's design philosophy and its history (i.e. designed by the same team that designed the NSX to commemorate Honda's 50th anniversary as a company), the more you will understand how truly special this "basic" vehicle is. The S2000 is not a car for people who follow the crowd."
