Consumer Reviews
"ABS causes the rear of the car to be lifted off the ground. Brake and turn hard and you might flip or scrape your bumper. No SPARE TIRE! The salesmen wait till after you buy to tell you that. Radio constantly goes in and out. The dealer refuses to cover it."

"Good looking, comfortable, plenty of power, great mileage (42 MPG 1st 1000 miles) , great price. I'd buy another in a minute."

"I bought the Accent looking for cargo room and fuel economy. I got just what I wanted plus more! A high level of standard equipment and adequate handing in a stylish package is just icing on the cake. My only concern is the less than comfortable seats and the bump on the driver's door that hits my knee in an uncomfortable way. Mileage is 34 MPG overall and with Hyundai Assurance, I'm not afraid of not having a tempra spare in the back. Standard tires are not good in deep snow, but Ican get by."

"This is my third Hyundai - I previously owned a 2002 Elantra and a 2008 Sonata. I bought my 2013 Accent in July. While I am happy with the gas mileage, and it seems to be mechanically sound, it does have a lot of flaws that I'm finding annoy me more and more as time goes by. For example: 1. The sound system totally SUCKS. My speakers cut in and out regularly, and the clock gains about 8 minutes a week. Currently scheduling an appointment to try and resolve this issue. 2. The radio's front panel is about 3"x2" and when the headlights are on, the light is so BRIGHT that it is absolutely distracting for night driving. You can adjust the light with the dashboard brightness switch, but to get the radio to a non-eye-assaulting level, you have to pretty much lose all light in the other dashboard elements. (There is a button on the radio to turn the panel off, but the second you adjust the volume, change station, etc., it comes back on. VERY annoying!) 3. Unlike the radio, the car's bright lights are anything but! I drive a long, dark highway to and from work and I often feel like I'm driving blind because the bright lights seem so dim. I never had this problem in either my Elantra or Sonata. (In fact, the Sonata had the best headlights of any car I've ever driven.) 4. The moving armrest is purposeless - and annoying. 5. There are no drink holders in the back seat. The Sonata had a feature where the lid of the armrest console, when opened, had a cup holder in it which was accessible to the back seat. Sadly, the annoying, purposeless, moving armrest doesn't have one. 6. The trunk 'floor' is not stable. (It's essentially a semi-stiff, ridged piece of carpet.) If you've got a coffee cup in hand that you need to put down to get something else in or out of the trunk, DON'T put it on the floor... unless you want to see it tip over and spill. (It's pretty sad when even the weight of a coffee cup can't be supported.) So - it's a nice car, but lacks something in the details. Wish I'd got an Elantra this time instead. But... too late now."

"A complete waste of time. The Internet System is totally dysfunctional. I got no info, no follow up no nothing. The dealer struck out too. I went to a showroom but no cars. called and followed up twice but no cars. Stopped in a month later and they had all the cars I was interested in but no one called me. Now they're sold out. I'm done with hyundai. I've moved on. In all fairness, all manufacturer's internet systems failed miserably."

"This is the first Hundyi I bought. I love the car and the dealer ship and service that I have received. It is an awsome car for gas milage and great small car for hauling. The car has everything in it that you need. For a resonable price it is an awesome car. I would recomend this car for anyone."

"We have loved beboppn around town in this car. It handles so well in traffic, parking is a dream, and it isn't so painful when you have to make that extra trip to pick up a gallon of milk or go get Johnny. The gas mileage is better then we hoped for."

"I bought this car to comute 75 miles a day on Rt. 95. I went from getting 15 MPG to 46 MPG! I got the manual transmission so I can really control what's happening under the hood. The in-dash trip computer keeps me informed and acts as a mean hall monitor, telling me not to run in the halls. Great styling!"

"This car has so much room on the inside for being a subcompact car. I love the look of this car inside and out and the engine is powerful and fuel efficient. I don't have any complaints about this car. It's perfect!"

"Just purchased our 2013 Hyundai Accent on 6/30/2013 so havent had a long time to drive the car yet , but in the short time we have had it , this is one of the best small cars that i have ever owned . Gas mileage is really good , with only 200 miles driven , has about just under 1/2 a tank left . And its pretty comfortable also. The only complaint i have is that hyundai didnt find it necessary to put a spare tire in the trunk , instead they opted for a tiny can of fix-a-flat . But there is room for a full size spare in the trunk"
