"I have owned a 2009 Genesis sedan, premium package, for 18 months and my enthusiasm for its comfort, performance, and extraordinary luxury value for the $ is unabated. While Hyundai has been accused of simply copying the best features of its high-end competitors in BMW, Lexus, and Mercedes, in Genesis they have hit the ball out of the proverbial park! The Genesis has a powerful but elegant profile, exceptionally comfortable but pragmatic interior, and hardly a week goes by that I am not asked by someone in the parking garage or neighboring gas pump: What kind of car IS that?! The only liability is the lack of traction control (and the high-performance but poor bad weather Dunlop 5000 tires) as I live in New England. But otherwise there is a nearly perfect blend of power, handling, and even fuel economy ... with the best sound system I have ever heard in a vehicle with the Lexicon. Once you test drive this car, you will have to have it!"

"I LOVE THE HUNDAI GENESIS V6 SEDAN NOT THE BEST MILAGE BUT IT IS A REAR WHEEL DRIVE. WOULD I PAY $30,000 FOR ONE WHEN I CAN BUY A FORD FOCUS AND A CHEVY MALIBU FOR THE SAME PRICE? NO. THE SONATA, CAMRY AND THE ACCORD ARE WAY OVERPRICED. CHEVY & FORD ARE MOVING UP IN QUALITY BUT NOT IN THE GAME ON MARKETING. DITTO FOR A DODGE CHALLANGER @ $30,000. PEHAPS FIAT OR NISSAN OR THE VOLKSWAGEN MADE IN CHATTANOOGA WILL BRING AN AFFORDABLE CAR TO THE U. S. MARKET."

A Surprised Convert ... Best Luxury for $

"I've owned the Genesis 3.8 for over a year and, having owned Volvo's, Audi's, Saab's, and driven a host of other so-called Luxury sedans, there is not a SINGLE luxury car in the $40K+ range I would rather own. This car has gorgeous, though imitative and understated luxurious lines ... has an impeccable, first-class interior ... unequaled sound system (Lexicon) ... and is an absolute ROCKET SHIP to drive! The ONLY factor preventing my giving 5 star ratings across the board is that I live in New England, and with rear wheel drive and the Dunlop performance tires, and with no all-wheel drive option, traction suffers in the snow. But overall, if you drive this car on any but a snowy day, you will positively fall in love with it ... as I have! I am a new (and admittedly surprised) convert to Hyundai quality ... look out, Lexus!"

"The car is almost perfect. Its defects are so small I hate to mention them and there are only two. First, the garage door opener switches on the rear view mirror are difficult to find in the dark as they are unlit. Second, the "miles till empty computer" flat-out does not work in a linear fashion. The first half of the tank will take 20 or 30 miles off the max, and when the last quarter of the tank is reached, the miles-to-empty total drops like a stone. But absolutely one of the finest cars I have ever owned."

"Bought this as a Demo vehicle with 6000 miles. Great car with many features comparable to Infinity, Lexus, BMW. Nice drive. I've had lots of favorable comments from friends. V-6 has plenty of power. No Regrets."

"This is a surprise to Mercedes,Lexus, and BMW. Having owned the top of the line of all, not only is the Genesis 4.6 loaded, a better car for the money, (Half the price at 42K), but a better performer, with all of the electronics and accessories included. (Includes the S600, and LS 460 and 5 Series). Presently still own the Lexus LS. Take a good look. Sporty suspension."

"I have been researching the Hyundai Genesis since it first hit the market and every review I have read has been positive. However, my Genesis 3.8 does not drive the way any review says it should. Here are the details of my experience since the day I purchased the car on 10/12/2009, a week ago. I haven?t had the car in my possession for more than a couple of hours. When I test drove the car there was a vibration that the dealer told me would be fixed with balancing the tires. After the dealer looked at the car in more detail they found two bad tires and replaced them. The dealer then load force balanced the tires and the vibration persisted. The dealer got the Hyundai field engineer involved and apparently there is a TSB for the emergency brake shoes. After replacing the emergency brake shoes per the TSB the vibration persisted. The next step that I am being forced to endure is having the rear end on my car replaced, this will be happening over the next week or two. All that being said Hyundai?s handling of this case is what is totally disappointing and terrible, there response, from top management, is that this kind of thing happens all the time and I should be patient while they attempt to fix my car. It is obvious that Hyundai is not ready for the luxury car market. I would be very cautious if you are going to look at this car."
