"I enjoy the quick acceleration and power this car with reasonable gas mileage provides me. Also, the passenger comfort was an added plus. It provides lots of leg room with headed leather rear seating. My friend who is 6'3 was still able to enjoy passenger seating."

"When my wife first suggested we look at the Hyundai Genesis, I said "Why? Its a Hyundai! Who wants that?" I am glad we went to look at it. I am completely blown away by the overall quality and value for the buck. The car rides extremely well and has more power than you will ever need. The quality of workmanship is first rate. The overall apperance can only be summed up this way, "Is that the new Mercedes?" I have been asked that several times. Do yourself a favor, go test drive one. You will be IMPRESSED!!"

My first Hyundai

"This is the first time I buy a Hyundai. I have owned several new cars: Monte Carlo, Olds Delta 88, Ford 150, Nissan Maxima, Nissan Pathfinder, Lexus LS400, Lexus 350 ES, Toyota Avalon, Toyota Camry etc., but the Lexus LS400 and the 2012 Genesis are the ones I like the most. The Genesis offers a precise, smooth, quiet ride and a superb acceleration even with 3.8 L engine. I fully agree with the statement made by a professional reviewer, that "Hyundai is doing to Lexus what Lexus did to Mercedes 20 years ago", meaning making equally good or better cars at a fraction of the cost. I was driving a 2011 Lexus ES 350 and bought the Genesis for my wife to replace her dying Toyota Camry. But after the purchase I fall in love with the Genesis and decide to pass the ES350 to my wife and keep the Genesis for myself. This is only the third month that I own the Genesis and I do not know how it will behave in the long range but so far I love it and cannot find any weakness of it."

"If you prefer quality, performance and value over name and prestige, consider the Genesis. It's an all around entry level luxury sedan, not too stodgy, not too pretentious. Upgraded V6 is amazing at 333hp and performs like a V8 with the standard 8 speed transmission. If there is one minor difference in this car compared to those priced 15k higher. it's the suspension that feels like what you would expect on a 35k car. Everything else is value way above the price."

"Very well engineered. Lots of technology and comfort features. The control/dial system for this car's technology features is easy to learn to operate and is much more intuitive than BMW's system. Voice command operation is very nice also. Plenty of horsepower for this type of car, along with really good handling. I looked at several brands of higher-end luxury cars and the Genesis offers more in one package than any of them, while having a selling price significantly lower than comparable models from those manufacturers. It definitely is the best value out there for this level of vehicle."

"I traded in my '09 MB on a 4.6 Genesis and I couldn't be happier. I've had MB for the past 35 years but the quality has gone down - not so on the Hyundai. I agree with another poster that said the passenger seat needs an up/down button. Outside of that I couldn't be more pleased."

"The 2012 Genesis meets all of my expectations. The new DI V-6 with 8 speed auto is powerful, smooth and gets 21 around town. The premium package provided nav, Lexicon sound and all of the features that I want. It is quiet, smooth and fit/finish is excellent. For the price, I would take this over Lexus or any of the Genman makes. My other car is an Audi A6 and I like this just as well."

2012 5.0L Non R Spec

"Let me start by saying this is the 2nd Genesis I've owned and the difference between this one and my 2009 3.8 is staggering. The 2012 is vastly improved (Performance, Comfort, Quality, Fit and Finish). I've owned Lexus, Acura, Toyota and nothing compares. Easily the best value of any large luxury sedan on the market today. I opted for a 2012 5.0L non R Spec...wanted the acceleration but didn't want the firm ride of the R Spec. This car is lightning quick and extremely comfortable. I was considering a 2010 Lexus LS 460, Mercedes E550, BMW 550i etc.. saved myself nearly $20K and sacrificed NOTHING! Absolutely phenomenal car and couldn't be happier. The 8 speed transmission is seemless. Fit and finish is superb. Interior is minimalistic but that is fine by me since the car has every available option-standard. One improvement I know is on the way is AWD but otherwise, this is an excellent vehicle that I would recommend to anyone who wants a top performing luxury ride substantially below market value. Hyundai is making some of the best cars available today...period!"
