"Bought a Genesis 5.0 in 2012. After 2 days, returned it to the dealer. Suspension was rough, transmission did not shift properly and driver seat collapsed. The dealer inspected vehicle, rotated, replaced the tires, inspected the vehicle. Problems were not solved. Factory rep inspected vehicle, said it was perfect. Problems not solved. While they have a long warranty, they do not honor it. Defective rear shock, software problem with transmission, seat repaired 4 times. Basic vehicle o.k., but if problems, not factory support. Stay away. Have vehicle now for 9,000 miles, junk."

"This is an excellent car and an outstanding value for the money. Recent cars have been Lexus and BMW, and these are my bases for comparison. Simply, the slight increase in luxuriousness of these previous models is, in no uncertain terms, not worth the additional cost of the cars. This Genesis is everything one would expect for the money, plus a little more. Brief specific impressions: quick and reliable startup, consistent keyless functioning, MPG estimates are accurate, electronic controls are a little bit congested, interior is roomy, functional trunk capacity is a little disappointing (also with other Hyundais I have rented on vacation), voice commands work fairly well, precise and comfortable gear shift control."

"The greatest automobile I have owned. Some small changes could be made for the better, for example, Tell me when the oil should be changed. Alert me if the turn signal has been on too long. let the radio stay on for a given amount of time after the ignitation has been turned off, cut off radio and other items once the door is open. allow me to turn off driving lights. I will own another Hyundai, unless they try to go green."

"I have the 4.8 engine, so it's not wonderful on gas, but takes off like a rocket. Comfortable for my 6'3" sons in the back. I have the special stereo package with the controls in the center, between the two front seats so you can mess with the controls without taking your eyes off the road or even having to reach for the controls. Much better than having them on the steering wheel, although the controls are there, too. Great looking car. Comfortable. Smooth ride. Performs well. Love it!"
