"This car is everything I need. I've owned sports cars, SUVs, from MG to Volvo to Toyota 4Runner SR5 Sport, and this car satisfies my every need. I first drove the 2012 Sonata as a rental when a tire blowout totalled my 4Runner. I had to have one. The styling is sleek, the seats fold down for extra rear packing, the trunk itself without seat fold-down is huge, it's quiet, and the features and standard equipment is unbeatable. Love this car, and family and friends fall in love with it, and not just because it is a stunny Sparkling Ruby body!"

"The vehicle was everything plus, cleanest car we looked at in 20 cars, I traveled over 1000 miles, they took my trade and handled the financing. No hassle sales...very informative. Will buy another vehicle here!"

Can't see out of window on passenger side

"My husband and I rented a Honda Sonata for three weeks in Hawaii. I really hated this car. When sitting in the extremely low passenger seat, I could not really see out of the car very well. And, it isn't because I am short; I'm 5'9" tall. The seat could not be adjusted and the steering was really terrible. I have driven sports cars with very tight steering and this was nothing like that. Would stay away from this car if thinking of purchasing (unless you are married to a pro basketball player who can see out of the front windshield while riding as a passenger.)"

"As the previous owner of Chev. Corvettes, Lincoln Aviator, Lincoln Continental and Cadillac Seville I have to say the Sonata LE is my all time favorite. Features such as panoramic sunroof, bluelink, Infinity AM/FM/Sirius XM/CD/MP3 audio system, climate control, push button start, bluetooth handsfree phone calls to name a FEW and a very smooth & quite ride, Significant interior and trunk space. More vehicle than any of my previous purchases and OH MY what a gas saver. It took 8 months of test driving many vehicles in its class and above its class and the Sonata is the winner handsdown."

"We have owned Hondas, Camrys, and US makes. I am 66 years old with my share of aches and pains. We LOVE this car, have had it 12 months, and put 16K miles on it. MPG is better than advertized, ride is fine. The only complaint I have is the cheap metal the valve stems are made of. Broke a stem and Hyundai wants $250 to replace a 50 cent valve stem. Bugger that! I just stuck an old traditional valve stem on it and ignore the silly light on the dash."

Worst Vehicle I Have Ever Driven

"Since I'm in my 50's I have owned/leased dozens of vehicles since I began driving in the 1970's. The 2013 Hyundai Sonata that I picked up a little over a month ago I have parked to let rot in my driveway even though I still make the payments. To be fair about all this, I am a spoiled American who grew up at at time when the best cars were the American Big Block Muscle Cars. I have owned German sedans, Japanese Sedans, British Sports Cars, and a host of other vehicles. I have always found something to absolutely love about every single one of them, even my old Dodge Monaco. Unfortunately, I can't find anything to love about the Sonata. The ride is atrocious and as hard as rock. Every ride reminds me of how awful it must have been to cross the American continent on a Conestoga Wagon because I'm driving a 2013 version of one. Every bump, every twist in the road, every seam of the roadway is transmitted directly to the interior and my lower back. I cannot drive the vehicle for longer than a one half hour period without a handly bottle of Advil. The steering is so tight that a flick of the finger causes a ninty degree turn so keeping the vehicle centered on any roadway takes every ounce of concentration. I have driven race cars and even piloted a twin engine jet and nothing steers as finicky as the Sonata. It almost borders on the dangerous side. The dealer informed me that the system is computer controlled and cannot be adjusted. A swing and a miss, strike two. The dashboard illumination is so bright it causes virtual blindness to the driver even when adjusted to its lowest level. It's a simple case of over exhuberance on the part of the design team. Trying to appeal to the flashing light and LED crowd and cramming too much into such a small space that overload and "BOT FULL" is unavoidable. Strike three and you're out! Final analysis, the perfect car for your sixteen year old provided Hyundai comes up with a body kit and slicker wheels. A terrible car for a middle aged or post-middle aged person who cannot use 90% of the features on a smartphone and who prefers a more sensible and comfortable ride with reasonable performance. As I mentioned earlier, I have resolved to park it and leave it be and drive my Chevy instead. Even with 230,000 miles on it, the Chevy's ride beats that Sonata by a 100 miles and even has better response and acceleration. Did I mention that the Chevy was a diesel?"

"right from the go i have had stearing problems , pull to right . the ride is very hard not like other mid sized cars. The female end of the seat belt is not user friendly when you have the drivers seat raised. You must dig for it , very inconvinent. The passenger seat should be powered as well as the drivers because it sits to low."

"I am over 50 years old, and this is the first foreign built vehicle that I have ever purchased. I LOVE IT! I travel alot on the highway and wanted beetr MPG, and I wasn't disappointed. I am consistantly getting 36.5 MPG ( 2.5 better than the 34 MPG on the sticker) traveling at 72 mph on cruise control, using ECO mode (a must). The city MPG was not a disappointment either, 21 to 22 MPG, again using the ECO mode. The ride is very quiet, with no highway road noise, a big plus. The handling is excellent! The only short coming that I could find is that the front passenger seat sits a little to low, and Hyundai should offer an electric passenger side seat as an option. I would strongly recommend the Sonata Se 2.0T to all my friends and relatives."

"My first Sonata was a 2007 6 cylinder and I had it for 5 years. The car was a dream, no probles at all. Drove nice and power to spare, except that the mileage in city driving was a low. I decided to get a ew car and the Sonata was my choice but I wanted a better mileage but withthe kind of power I was used to, so i bought a turbo. By all the reviews and specs, the EPA ratings showed at an average of 25 mpg city and Hway. I would have been happy with 20, however I only got about 15.5. The car was fantastic in all the other features. Drove great, comfortable, stereo was nice, etc no complaints. The only thing was the mileage. I went to the dealer to complaint and the evaluated the car and told me to keep a log on the milage ang give it 2000 miles or so to break in and the mileage would improve. I did all af that and nothing changed. I went back and they offered to give me a new car with out the turbo a 2013 mode Limited. I took the deal and I have the new car for about 1 1/2 weeks and I seem to get better mileage so far. The car needs to break in afte 1000 miles and I will re post my comments as to what it will get. I recomend the car as is but if you want to get high milage do not get the turbo."

"I have owned a Lexus, Acura and Volvo. This car compares to the Japanese luxury brands as far as the drive. It is very smooth feeling and saves gas. Great price!!! It doesn't drive like the Volvo did in its good days. I really only missing my sunroof. I upgraded to leather and alloy wheels. Alloy wheels make a HUGE difference on the ride and road noise. You should too the cloth seats are cheapish and kinda hard to me. The passenger side seat is kinda low to the ground. The gadgets on the car are nice. Everything wraps around the driver which is NICE and luxurious. They need to have sunroof as an option at least on the base model... than paying $8k more that and navigation. The backseat and trunk are very spacious! Way more exciting than the Honda Accord or Altima- BORING. I do like this car only time will tell if it lasts. I think it will!"
