"I replaced my C6 Corvette with a Veloster Turbo 2013, so I as loking for a spoty exterior design, front wheel dive, powerfull engine and sporty driving experience. I found it all in the Veloster and what a nice car to drive. The 1.6 l Turbo engine performs so well and makes it a really fun car to drive. Already the first day i had 2 people comming up to me saying: "Nice car - What brand is it ? - Do you mind if I take a look inside ?" I love my Veloster and can't wait to take it on a long ride for Christmas vacation - it will be a blast. Oh - I have to mention the warranty - 10 year bumper to bumper - Quite good - can anybody match that ?"

"When finally released from the torment of stoplight to stoplight driving, my new 2012 Hyundai Veloster simply devours the road and looks good doing it. True to all the reports, it is slightly underpowered (but only slightly). It picks up nicely on surface roads, blends and merges with ongoing traffic smoothly and hits high marks for fuel efficiency. The engine responds crisply with the six speed manual transmission. Handling is agile with very little sway. It's not a sports car, and it doesn't pretend to be one. It's a solid driving vehicle that moves when you need it and cruises like a dream. From the interior perspective, all the controls feel right, everything from clutch to radio is exactly where they need to be. Controls are responsive. Instruments are easy to read. The audio system with bluetooth integration for your mobile device works flawlessly. As a package, the Veloster fits me, well. Anyone who wants a brisk and exhilarating driving experience should try this car. Driving to work used to be a chore, now i can't wait to get up and go. I find myself itching for the steering wheel on the train ride back to the parking lot. A solid car, user friendly and a joy to drive. Highly recommend."

"My 2012 Boston red Volester is a not of fun and draws a lot of attention. It is a fully loaded manual shift. The 1.6L engine is a little under powered pulling out but not bad at all when cruising. I have the cloth/leather seat combination and the bolster on the drivers side seat at the door is not wearing well. I carry my wallet on the left side and the leather was stretched and the cushion deformed after only a few hundred miles on the car. I am not a big guy and took it to the dealer who said they would try to add padding and or try to pull the cover tighter at my first service. Has been a great car otherwise with 1200 miles on it so far."

"I've lived my life outside of my demograhic and the Veloster keeps me there. Designed for young people, this is an inexpensive mid-life (or later) crisis car. The styling is a 10 in my book, the interior comfortable but cozy and the electronics are incredible. It's not a perfect car, and the anticipation went on far too long for it to be a grand slam but it meets 90% of my expectations If I'd bought the very first one I drove, I'd have been much happier and been happier 5 months sooner. The Disclaimer is that my experience with Hyundai Marketing and a local dealership were less than satisfactory. Ultimately, I was forced to compromise too much to get a manual transmission - second exterior color choice and last interior color choice - and I had to go 350 and out of state to even find one then. My first road trip won't be until next month but in town, I'm getting 29-33 MPG. The online computer is consistently 10% higher than calculated MPG. If I get the 40MPG promised, I'll be really happy. Pros: Looks, fun to drive, electronics - stereo, navigation and any type of connection you could need, and mileage about as promised. Con: Rough ride, big MPG loss for driving spiritedly, buying experience less than satisfying. Advice: If you drive it and like it, don't give back the key - BUY IT NOW!"

Sporty, compact and fun

"I was looking for something the same size as my '04 Honda Civic, with good mileage, and Hyundai's warranty appealed to me. I was first interested in the Elantra, but test-driving it, I felt it was bigger than I wanted. Hyundai seems to have made each redesign a few inches bigger, and what I really wanted was something more compact. So I test-drove the Veloster and preferred its size and handling. It is basically a sportier looking cousin to the Elantra, but with comparable MPG and options. The Accent is the right size too, but would require more add-ons (expense) to get up to the level of the base model Veloster. After driving it for a few months, I have mostly enjoyed it. The rear window is small, as are the rear side windows, so that is something to get used to. The third door is a big plus, since I still feel like I'm driving a compact, but one that adult-size backseat riders can get into and out of. The mileage display is impossible to miss, which is annoying just because my particular commute makes it impossible to get above 30 MPG. The XM radio trial is nice, but I'm not sure I'll extend it once the free trial ends. Pretty much exactly what I was looking for. So far, so good."
