"After test driving the Rav4 and the Santa Fe, looked at the Highlander and Veracruz. Found the Veracruz much softer on the road, more spacious, and better price for the money. It's high enough from the road, AWD is awesome (though I haven't tested it fully yet). Seats are super comfortable. I have the SE w/Premium & Leather package (sunroof/6-disc changer/sideview mirror signals/etc.). It is just too good to be true. I'm now a Hyundai fan for life."

"I leased this vehicle after leasing explorers for the last 9 years (1st mistake) I have had nothing but trouble the vehicle itself is a nice vehicle for the money. However Hyundai went cheap on the parts. You can hear everything with the windows rolled up. And the rotors.. the vehicle has just made 1 years old and the rotors has been replaced twice and shaved twice and now i need brakes and new rotors again... out of pocket spending for sure! and no i don't ride the brakes! I will never buy hyundai again best believe that. In reading some of these reviews The car is a NICE car but the parts on the car are cheap. My rubber stripping to the doors has come apart a few times and I had to have that replaced just a piece of JUNK.. When lease is done flying back to some other dealership when this lease ends for sure!"

"Headline tells it all. Hundai has a real winner - from the engine back! Poor fuel economy detracts greatly. Mechanically excellant, stunning interior/exterior. Could use better in cabin stowage."

"i love my veracruz. i can't wait to go driving in it each day. my 2 year old loves it too...roomy and quiet, plus we have the entertainment system for road trips! it is a fantastic value for money. the lexus probably has a bit more quality assurance, and attention to detail, but probably not $10,000 worth. i would absolutely recommend you test drive this car. especially at night...wow, when the dash lights up it is enough to sell you on the car. sounds stupid, but it really looks good! i know a lot of people are turned off by the idea of Hyundai, but it really is a high end SUV and should be seriously considered if you are looking to purchase a larger suburban cruiser. still breaking my car in...getting about 20mpg. but the genius is unlike other high end SUVs, the veracruz gets killer performance from REGULAR GAS!!! all the other cars i researched or checked out needed PREMIUM to get the numbers the veracruz gets on regular. that is a serious plus."

"Amazing ride, very smooth and plush, great materials used, very nice interior, Luxury is very evident. Hyundai has brought Luxury to the masses in a very competitive vehicle. Its as good as vehicles that cost $10,000 more."

"I too was skeptical about buying a Hyundai but I test drove the Veracruz Limited along with all its competitors and I bought the Veracruz. I have 10,000 miles on it and couldn't be happier. It is luxurous, smooth, comfortable and reliable. The gas mileage is terrific for a 4300 lb vehicle. I get 17-18 in town and 23-24 on the highway and it uses regular gas. I LOVE this vehicle and would definitely buy another."

"Bought car Dec. 22, 2007. It has failed to start for us 4 different times, twice in one day. Twice in Jan. 24th & 27th and twice on Feb. 13th. Good thing I have towing assistance. After about an hour it all of sudden starts?? Had it to dealership twice can't find problem if it does not act up for mechanics. First trip to shop they said it was loose conection on battery cable, now what is the excuse. Will have my car indefinitly this time. We really love the car if it would only start. It's roomy, sharp looking, smooth drive w /AWD, heated seats, 4 doors, fold down 3 rd row seat, it's the SE model. But a women being stuck alone with a car that won't start is not a good thing."
