Vehicle Overview

The EX35 is Infiniti's luxury midsize crossover. With seating for five, the EX35 competes with the Acura RDX, Audi Q5 and BMW X3. It features V-6 power and comes with rear- or all-wheel drive.

New for 2012

A HomeLink garage-door opener has been added to Journey trims. Aside from that, there are no other significant changes for 2012.

Exterior

The EX35 fits right alongside its Infiniti stablemates: L-shaped headlights, a twin-port lower air dam and a curvy profile are all part of the mix. The horizontal taillights don't seem as chiseled as the ones on Infiniti's larger FX crossover. Exterior features include:

  • Standard 18-inch alloy wheels; optional 19-inch rims
  • Standard dual chrome exhaust
  • Standard heated side mirrors
  • Standard fog lamps
  • Available power sunroof
  • Standard keyless entry
  • Optional bi-xenon headlights
  • Optional directionally adaptive headlamps

Interior

Five people can fit inside the EX. It features a standard tilt/telescoping steering wheel and a standard 60/40-split rear seat. Interior features include:

  • Leather upholstery with real wood trim
  • Standard automatic dual-zone climate control
  • Heated, powered front seats
  • Optional voice-activated navigation system
  • Optional 11-speaker Bose stereo

Under the Hood

Rear-wheel drive comes standard, and all-wheel drive is optional. The EX35's car-based chassis has a four-wheel independent suspension with extensive aluminum components. Mechanical features include:

  • 297-horsepower, 3.5-liter V-6 with 253 pounds-feet of torque
  • Seven-speed automatic transmission
  • Rear- or all-wheel drive

Safety

The available Around View Monitor uses four cameras to give the driver a simulated top-down view of the EX35 to reduce blind spots when parking. The available blind spot warning system signals when other vehicles are close by. Safety features include:

  • Front-seat side-impact and side curtain airbags
  • Front active head restraints
  • Electronic stability system
  • Traction control
  • Backup camera
  • Optional lane departure warning system
