"It is not a car for Chicago. Enjoyable for 6 month on dry pavement even on upgraded tires(you don't want to drive on standard). Traction control is not the best in class. Do not attempt to drive in winter or on Walmart parking lot. The clearance is a couple of fingers. You would get stuck on laying down coca-cola can. On mine - power steering failed (started to leak) on both sides. Power steering liquid (nissan only) - $20 a bottle. Repair - $1,600.00."

"First, the negative. If you're thinking about buying one of these, have at least another grand saved up to deal with the issues that are likely to pop up. The major one is the stereo/amp failing and taking the environmental controls with it. Google G35 Coupe stereo problem and there's hundreds of websites to fill you in. I ended up replacing the stero and amp, and saved about half of what the dealer was going to charge me. Second, be prepared to find a good mechanic outside of the dealer, because the dealer will try and screw you every wich way including loose. Add in a new battery and new belts and so far the car runs great. Now the positive. Driving this car is the most fun I've ever had behind the wheel. The acceleration is unbelievable and the handling is amazing. It looks awesome and I feel great driving this thing around, especially with all the looks I get. I nicknamed mine "the rocket sled" because it will seriously go if you want it to. Granted, this has a negative effect on gas mileage, but man is it fun. All in all I have to say I love this car and am happy I bought it, even with the hiccups."

"My 2003 G35 MT6 is now coming up on 78/K and has required only normal maintenance (oil changes, air/oil filter). Still on the original brakes and clutch. Only short coming is the need to replace tires about every 25K. This is a well known fact with G35/350Z but I have found tires at 1/2 the price of the Originals ($1500) and they provide equal or better performance. Fuel mileage was better than expected. I get 23-24 average normal driving (not big city driving) and between 27-28 on long highway trips. After 6 years, this car is still the only one that gives me the WOW factor so I suspect I'll be owning it for many more years."

"I purchased this vehicle used a little over a year ago. Being a young professional with a wife and two young children I wanted a vehicle that would work as a family sedan when with the family but yet still allow me to have some fun while driving alone. Let me tell you that this car delivers tremendously on both counts. I have no problems getting car seats in the back and the trunk has more than enough space for our daily trips. My kids beg to take my car whenever we leave the house and are quite upset when I have to tell them we need to take Mommy's. On the flip side, this cars styling is simply amazing. If mercedes married porsche, this is what their child would look like. The classy lines going down the side of the car and the rear tail lights remind me of an elegant yet sporty business sedan. As you walk around to the front of the car the agressive side of the vehicle really begins to bare it's teeth. The wide chrome gill surrounded on either side by sweeping agressive headlights scream drive me. Once you listen and hop behind the wheel you'll agree with what the car was initially telling you. Once you turn the ingnition and listen to the engine jolt to life you can't wait to put that right foot to use. The cars acceleration is fast and responsive. As soon as you tell it you want to go, it listens. I'm not saying this car will take a mustand GT (although it's pretty dead even, but don't ask me how I know) or a 911 in a 0-60 but it will hold it's own against many other popular cars in the speed arena. Where I feel this car outshines the others is that most other vehicles focus their power in the low end. Nissan seems to have kept a balance of power through the whole range. No matter what speed you're going if you request more from the car it delivers without question. Passing and getting on the highway is amazing. At times, depending on the tachometer reading, you can pull away from a car beside you traveling 60 as if they were standing still. Overall this is the most amazing car I have ever owned, and believe me, I've had 12 in the past 7 years. I still enjoy driving it and may be an infiniti customer for life."

"you have to have the coupe in a manual to truly enjoy what this car can offer. i have a 03 manual coupe and its always a pleasure to drive, makes even a drive to grocery store fun. One thing i had to do was keep my old car for the winter. the coupe is horrible for winter but it has allot to do with the tires i have on it. if your looking for a sexy car that is fun to drive and reliable for a good price this is the car for you. I actually like the exterior of the g35 coupe over the new g37 much better, but if you care more about a nicer interior then exterior then get the g37"

"I recently traded in my 2007 Hyundai Elantra that I purchased in Oct. of 2007 for this car. The value for what your getting is bar none. After driving by a local dealership over the course of 3 months I steadily watched the price drop on this car and when it reached $16,995 I decided to stop in and see what they could work out. They gave me the car for a day to see how I liked it and from the time I inserted the key and heard the throaty sound of that Nissan 3.5L V-6 I fell in love. The handling is superb and the mid range acceleration is OUTSTANDING! Nissan motors has always built a reliable product and this car is no exception. The interior design leaves a little to be desired but overall the feel of the cockpit and ease of use of features has been great. I was lucky enough to find a 4 door model (have only seen 3 others myself since this car was released) so the interior room is vast and comfortable. The trunk seams to be a bit on the small side but with a rear seat pass through you can haul long items such as skis with ease. Limited slip and traction control were standard with this car and make the ride very enjoyable. Interior noise at highway speeds are tolerable but definitely not "Lexus" quiet. The big selling point on this car for me was the exterior design. Since the introduction of the G35 in 2003 Infiniti has done VERY little changing to the exterior design because they have come out with a winner and will most likely stick with it for as long as possible. In these days of sky rocketing gas prices the gas mileage is reasonable, I have been averaging about 25-26 MPG on the highway with about 18-20 MPG in town, the only draw back is that premium fuel is RECOMMENDED but not required, I use plus. My only wish is that there were more features but being a 2003 a lot of features that we have now were not available. If you have the means I would highly suggest picking up one of these fine vehicles."

"Great looks, excellent performance, loaded with features. All the performance of a BMW 540 for $20,000 less. My car is 5 1/2 years old and I'm still in love! Would not order the sport suspension again as this makes the ride a little harsh ( I must be getting old!)."

"Seventh Nissan I have owned (including 3 Infinities) all purchased new. I am convinced of the reliability of the line. I'm an avid reader of Consumer Reports which contains no ads. They annually have an extensive used car issue. Infiniti always rank at or near the top for reliability. I'm happy Infiniti had problems early in their history. Their prices are more in line where they should be, especially compared to Lexas"
