"I have been driving Jags for 6 years with very little problems until now. My 05 S-Type Sport V8 Limited Edition with XK8 Interior just had to have the tranny replaced and the radiator. Somehow radiator fluid was getting into the tranny and the end result is a new transmission and radiator at 40,000 miles. No out of pocket cost to me at all. The performance of this car is amazing for the money. When you buy these cars 3 years old you cannot miss, you get them 50 cents on the dollar with a 3-year bumper to bumper still left"

"I bought this Jaguar S-Type 3.0 as a highway cruiser to help take some of the mileage load off my wife's 2004 Lexus RX330. She loves it and has essentially parked the Lexus for the time being. The S-Type 3.0 has plenty of power, drives like a dream, is one of the most beautiful sedans on the road, and I really appreciate its very short turning radius. Jaguar's rapid early depreciation really helps you buy a 2 or 3-year-old S-Type 3.0 right now for what I call "Honda money". I could have purchased an identical-year, low-mileage Accord for the same money that I grabbed this S-Type for, but the Jaguar is so much more car than the Honda could ever dream of being. Of course, the Jag will eventually cost more from a maintenance standpoint than the Honda would, but I'm a do-it-yourself maintenance type of guy and I'm gleaning the Jaguar enthusiast websites frequently to learn everything I can about caring for this car before our factory warranty runs out in mid-July 2009. One other important point - I'm 6'7" tall and unlike almost every sedan out there these days, I can adjust the drivers seat in this Jaguar to the point where even I am comfortable driving it for several hours at a time without my legs or neck cramping up. I previously believed that only my Dodge Ram pickup could keep me comfortable on the road for that long, but the Jaguar has proven it can do so as well. What a great car for the money, especially on the 2005 and 2006 S-Type 3.0 models right now. Find one with low miles and in great condition and pay "Honda money" for it just like I did...."

"I bought my '05 S Type last April. It was dealer certified, and had 32K on it. I was a bit skeptical at first, hearing ALL of the horror stories about Jaguars in the past...but this car is a dream. Totally loaded with 6 air bags, heated leather, back up radar, wood dash, etc. I have driven it on road trips, and have gotten an amazing 32MPG freeway (you have to use Premium Gas, however)...and locally I get 23 average around town. Zero problems, so far...and what you get for the Money is way worth it!"

"This is the best of every world, especially if you buy it 1 or 2 years old. The power of this car is amazing; the performance is stunning. Few cars can come close. Add the style and elegance, both inside and out, and you've hit a home run. Above it all, it's a Jag, and that means something to a lot of people. I've owned Audi, BMW and Mercedes. Only Mercedes comes close in the intangibles. I loved my Bimmer and my Audi, but the comfort and style of the Jaguar are much better. The price, slightly used, is far and away better. Besides, you see an awful lot of the Teutonic cars out there these days. You don't see many Jags, and it really turns heads. Now that the new Jaguars are more modern looking, you won't see something like this, again. Overall, you can't touch this kind of performance at this price anywhere in a luxury vehicle. It has head-snapping power. Yet, inside it coddles you and has room for 5, easily. I've found it to be very reliable, with just some gizmo warnings (that were false). Get one if you can. Impress everyone, including yourself, hold on, and have fun!"
