"The 2009 Jaguar XK8 speaks for itself if you like convertibles. We also own an XKR convertible and so performance is not quite the same however the V-8's in both cars are smooth and controlled, not to forget relatively economical for a 4.2 liter displacement.
The handling characteristic's in sport mode are exacting, flat cornering. I will say that Barrett Motors of Mcallen and RUDY V. in particular did a superbly fine job for us in explaining the performance and luxury features of the car. Very knowledgeable and made us do a deeper review prior to purchase.
The car does not have a backup camera although the sensor system is by far the best we have experienced in a vehicle. We will buy a car again from the Barrett Dealership based on our experience with, Rudy, Abel, Fernando and Sam. We looked across the country for a car that was well maintained and not driven in salt conditions, no salted roads in Texas!! Economy is 22-23 mpg with strong acceleration when needed.
